Went into the Orange business store today in Canary Wharf and was told END of Sept. I am so frustrated!! In June they said it would be out in July, in Aug they said it would be Aug, then early Sept and now late Sept (maybe Mon 30/09?).
I guess I can hold out for T-Mobile in Oct/Nov (cheers Chops for the info) but man, I've been out of my contract minimum comittment since June (waiting for P990), and I feel like I'm losing out by not taking a new phone and still paying all the line rental to subsidise a handset that I don't have.
I hope they won't put the release date back again this time. But sadly, I won't be surprised if they do...
orange in the UK are saying september but no dates have been given. I would have thought around the 14th or so.
can't wait anymore
Thanks for your help father_brutus . The problem had been solved.
I just wondering is there anyone out that know how to install CHINESE language into P990i?
I concur with that 'chops'.
O2 have a week beginning date of 18th September 2006.
Lets hope there is no further slipage
I received my through o2, just a few days ago (UK). I must have one of the first in the UK and I have to say this phone scores 20/10. Its unbelievably excellent. I tried the business card scanner and it worked first time, saved ages. With it being so new, there is a lot of lagging stuff, like no wap set up from sony yet. By the way, I pre-ordered through an internet company and paid just £29.99 for the phone with an 18 month o2 contract from mobileshop.com.
in vodafone (uk) monthly mag their doing it prepay for £380 wen bought with a £20 top up.If they dont do this deal or any other in this mag i am definetly off to trading standards.
KrispyKreme, you'll be waiting a long time for a T-Mobile release in the UK...at least another 6-8 weeks at a minimum. Most likely T-mobile release will be at the end of 2006/start of 2007...:¬(
O2 are planning official roll-out on Monday 18th September. Apparantly Vodafone have rights to a slightly earlier release, which to me indicates Monday 11th.
The phone does look good, but is it worth the UK wait? We'll see soon enough...
to NoMiS & no name....if you go to the control panel as choose the setup wizard, the screen calibration is i guess the 4th or 5th step....
as i asked before does anyone know how to tranfer the contacts from nokia to the p990?

Everything is very good and I like it so much. The camera and screen is much much better than P910i.
I just wondering is anyone can teach me how to configure the stylus point? The point that I am pointing to is not exactly the point the phone read.
