hello.. i have s700i bout week ago, i explored all the s700i phone within this week, and i found that the memory can support only for 128mb ms duo, not pro duo, listen , no pro duo as the memory stick duo itself only have 128mb, i use my mp3 as a ringtone, it is very cool to listen coz it loud and clear. i recommended for those people who want to buy it , one more thing is games and application from se k700i also can be use in s700, if u need more 3d games for s700, just mail me.. i got hundreds of 3d java games for s700 and certain application for s700. thanks in advance..

I bought this on Vodafone (didnt know about the mp3 ringtone issue beforehand).
You can play MP3's as ringtones, you just need to download the "Sony Ericsson DRM" Program. Which will add Digital Rights Management to your MP3's and allow you to use then as ringtones.

Dont buy this phone with vodafone, it's locked so you cant use mp3s as ringtones like on other networks... only over-priced poor quality ones from vodafone live!!!

well u can update ur software from www.sonyericsson.com,sum1 told me that this fone only supports 128 mb card but does it support more plz reply back

i have got a SE S700i and i must addmit it is THE best fone i have eva had and i no will have for a long time, reasons for purchasing one were because i was looking for a top of the range fone with all the usual features but had to have excellant picture and good video quality, which this fones meets. its has the best SOUND YOU WILL EVER HAVE HEARD FROM A FONE Gaurnted and can also adjust Bass treble Bass etc. I would recommend poeple to purchase this fone, but i ahve to say tahts there have been some problems in the past few months when i have using MP3 player for as long time, it would suddenly stop and fail to play, this a software fault which i have noticed and u have had to change my fone 3 times in the 5 months, but no thinking of chanmgein to the K7i but not to sure as yet,as SE S700i is an amazing fone and very hard to beat, which will also keep it value up.

How can you use the voice recorder during a phone conversation? Is it possible to record calls?
When do you use spot photometry function?
Is the casing of s700i replacable? especially the silver eye on the back.

I have the t610 cell phone and I wanna change it with s700 but I don't know that much about it ,I need some informations plz about the camera the ringtones ,how does the mp3 player sound,and how clear is the video, and is it easy to use,,,,,,

What a stunning phone. I've read some of the comments and I must say that my S700i can ply MP3's but you do need to take it for a software upgrade as soon as you get the handset.

ive just got another s700i but its on vodafone and its crap compared to the sim free version i had, i cant play mp3s as ringtones does anyone know how to sort it out, all it says is cannot use this file,tracks which have been sent from a s700i wont even work, its doin my head in all these mint tracks on mp3 but naff tones to use

Phone seems fine to me, but all sony erc
phones are to small to digest
