I bought the s700i (aus made) a few months ago on vodafone... ive only every had one problem with thew phone anf that is txt messages not coming through and the phone saying that the "sms is corrupt" however i believe this is a vodafone issue
Otherwise, it is one of the best phones on the market for the same price range.. AWSOME camera, every one envies my camera (have friend with d500, nokia 1MP...etc) and the SE cam is by far the best as the screen resolution of 256K compliments the cam.
as vodafone barred using mp3's as ringtones, there is of course ways around if if you hunt around the net like it did.. i also eventually found a way to uoload full screen games onto it..
of course it is vodafone branded but download a theme off the net and the only vodafone thing u have left it the red around the menu items, which i like better than the SE theme (as i prev had a z1010)

hey all plz answer this question can i download movies and videos in this mobile with formta like avi and wma or only mpeg4 because if not i am going 2 buy 6630 because i can watch movies . and if this phone can will the movie have the same size as it was on the pc or it will be minimized. and howa lng can this mobile record video ? thx in adv

Yes, this handset has been withdrawn from all networks due to varying software issues. Such faults seem to be common with SE handsets, though most of them relatively minor. Both myself and a colleague have this handset and we've each experienced the same fault, though each caused by a different trigger. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a major fault as it doesn't affect the way we generally use the phone and such errors with the phone are few and far between. Overall this is an extremly good handset, there's just a few things that need tweaking. If you already have the handset and are having minor software issues, keep an eye on the SE website as there are usually software upgrades available to download.

I ordered one of these from O2 but was then told they all been withdrawn by all the phone companies! Anybody any ideas?

As a professional in the mobile industry for many years I have used many many handsets and this one is the best multimedia handset on the market. It replaced my P910i due to its advanced imaging functions. Can't wait for the inevitable 2mg auto-focus version.

plz help me i am very confused about s700 i and k 750 which one to purchase i love s 700 i but i hate the thing that full screen video playing is not possible is there any software or something by which we can plzay full screen video i dont want to go for k 750 i as it has a small display and if anyone can help about how much memory s 700 i support is that enough plz help and mail me thanks folks

oh man this phone is realy great no other phone can beat it.

overall it's a very good phone with all the functions but will be even better if it can change the message alert tone with mp3 or other tune rather than the one provided.

Hi 4 all sonyericsson lovers , i just wanted to ask a few questions about the s700i which i've bough lately , does it show the volume level increasing or decreasing when pushing the side volume control buttons ? I got my phone from KSA and i found no ring tones so does it really comes with no ring tones ?

Hi, i'm just wondering if I can use an MP3 for a message alert? Or is there anything I could do to use Mp3 or true tones as a message alert? Help!!! I envy Nokia users for they have that feature!

the max memory is 128mb
the K750 is far superior to the S700i due to autofocus. even tho its CMOS, it delivers suprisingly good colour depth.

i'm thinking of buying s700 or k750i.
s700 is ccd, while k750i is cmos but it has 2 MP.
which one do you think is the best guys?

some,say S700 can support 256mb memory stick,
does any body know the exact answer?
Also,how much is the volume of every 1min video on the stick memory?
and,is 128 mb,enough for this phone?

i just wondered, you can use memory cards to bost the memory, does it let you store and play MP3s from the card or is it only pictures and video
