Adi, which company or dealer sells this phone for $300???????? The best deal I found on s700 (similar but better model because a true world phone with fm radio) is $480 at
PLEASE , IF YOU ARE REAL,then tell us where we can get 710 for $300 (without contract???)
I would like to buy the S710a. I live in New York, and the best deal that I have found for it is $300. So, is there anyone that knows a better deal for this phone?
S700I Better than this dogy black one!
only EDGE is better on this than the s700i
the S710 DOES NOT EVEN HAVE FM RADIO!! AND silver looks much better than the black!!
whell thats my opinion..!
I'm in the USA and I want to buy this phone for use on T-Mobile's network. I know the major difference between the s700i and s710a is EDGE... is the EDGE feature really worth getting. I don't think t-mobile even supports EDGE yet. Also, buy buying the s700i you'll have a true international phone - right?
I am about to buy the s700i, but have now seen this can someone list the al the chnages in the 2 models.
Is the s700i a good phone i have a gx30 and want to update :)
I forgot to add:
Onec Cingular switches on all 1900 GSM,
they will be able to get a truly world phone
s700i instead of s 710
Cingular must stop missleading people.
850/1800/1900 is not a truly an international world phone (neither a triband one).
The 850 frequency is only used by Cingulat in the US and by 1 or two more countries.
The 1800 frequency does not exist in half of the world (cingular claims that 1800 is the world frequency). Unlike 1800 , the 900 frequency is used in 98%of the world with the exception of 3-5 countries (Japan/WCDMA only, Korea/WCDMA only , 2-3 other countries that either use Iden or 1800 only).
Cingular has two choices:
1)continue selling large collection of rotten Motorola phones
(becaus Motorola is the only cellular manufactor that is capable of putting all 4 frequencies 850/1800/900/1900 in one phone soe far)
2)GET RID OFF shameful 850 frequency!
(transfer on all 1900, like T-Mobile)
In this case Cingular will be able to get
normal triband 900/1800/1900 phones not only from Motorola, but from all other brands as well.
Cingular must take an example from T-Mobile
and their advanced 1900 Gsm Technology
When T-Mobile says: trinad phone , it is truly is , becuase with T-Mobile triband is always 900/1800/1900 - a truly world phone!

I saw the phone at Amazon for 280 bucks after rebates -- which seems like a steal. --- I gotta check one out physically before I buy it though and none of the Cingular stores around me seem to have them in stock yet. ---
I Live in Europe yet interested oin this phone. Any webshop selling this>?
wot is EDGE plz sum1 tel me b4 i go n buy thanx!!!
iv got the S700 but want S710 which is beta
I think this is a good nfone 4rm SE, but they should think of including a symbian OS in this kind of fone not only for the P series.
To expand a little bit on Erics post. Yes it is true that this is a difference. The S710a has EDGE while the S700i does not, but the S700i has the FM radio which S710a does not have. The EDGE on the S710a replaces the FM radio on S700i. The only other differnces are the colors, and the GSM frequencies that the phones operate on. The suffix i on S700 tells us that it is manufactured for International use. It is triple band GSM 900/1800/1900. The suffix a on S710 tells us that it is manufactured for use in Americas. This means it is triple band GSM 850/1800/1900.
