Before visiting Orange store...
Slow, Crashes, satnav (Orange Maps) never worked in scotland when i needed it, kept crashing when i turned on my car speaker (SE HCB-105!)
After visiting Orange store...
They told me to go online and update my firmware as there was a new one released (after the cpwh/p4u recall) Faster more demanding internet connects quicker and calls connect faster and believe it or not it doesnt crash when i connect my headset
My feelings a typical sonyericsson scenario its been rushed out onto the shelves to compete but they havent tested it for the real niggles and faults.
however since they have looked into it its a fantastic handset with all the things you need to have on a phone. camera is excellent nothing quite like the real thing but still for something you will always have in your pocket it will pay dividends for something you have on demand
only downfall at the moment... not really many free apps available for this handset yet so cant really test its flexibility - and the fact the o/s was developed by nokia makes me slightly upset sony cant do something themselves.
and facebook as advertised on tv... wheres the app se??
Just look at the ratings of this phone - it's self-explanitory! Such a shame that I can't afford it. I've always been a SE fan! But sick, unemployed and well....but I may dream about it! Enjoy your Satio (Idou)'s.

WOW!!!! It is really notable, the length you will go just to dislike this phone. To that person who said the 12mp photos were absolutely crap, describe a better camera out there for all of us here........ Don't you people get it? We all know you are stupid!! Stop giving us more reasons to confirm our beliefs. Are you affilliated with Nokia CMX? I can't believe I am actually asking this question as I have a lost of respect for Nokia, and seriously doubt they'd even think of hiring an idiot like yourself. We ALL know that this phone is not a bad phone at all, we know for certain that it is one of the best mobile out at the moment, maybe not the best, or even not in top 7, but among the top ten for sure. I wish GSMARENA would find a way to rid this site and these posts of all u children coming here to say silly things like u always do. One would think you are getting paid to say the things that you are saying. Everyone knows that there is only one still camera on mobile phones that can offer some challenge to this one. Finally, have it ever occured to you that not everybody prefers capactive screens??? Well that is a fact. Sure things tend to look better on the capactive, but if the phone should say fall, like phones are prone to do, the resistive would be least likely to break. Go on enjoying your phones people, I think I'll stick to Nokia's N97 instead of this one though;)
This phone rocks! Simple as that! Find another phone with a better camera!? Good luck with that, p.s iphone sucks donkey d*&k! ha ha
Martin, 07 Dec 2009I have a question to owners, I have right now one old phone from Sony Ericsson K750i, it has a... moreThe only way i have found is to set the light to ON in video mode and just open the LENS cover when you need the light. You dont have to record anything just so as the light comes on.
THAT HANDSET ROCKS!!! it's much better than any
I-Phone..........I-Phone it's old school now!!! that is why i always have had sonyericsson, they are the best, great sound with its mega-bass punch!!!
After the R1CA037 update, the phone has much better battery life, is also much faster and most of the other issues reported earlier have been resolved. Excellent device!
george, 07 Dec 2009Ive been using this phone for 2 weeks now and I think it is great. I love the s60 v5 it comes ... moreit is a problem, if i spent £400 to £500 on a phone (or an expensive contract) i'd want everything to work very smoothley, i mean everything. I wouldn't kid yourself into thinkin you should expect a broken phone, thats a complete joke. Ive tried all the top phones, and your right they all have the same problems, its just not on. It's like the manufacturers are bending us over the table and shoving us a big one! thats why ive settled for the infamous iphone. I know i'm spending big bucks for a phone with not as many features (although the app store is incredible, plus ive jailbroken it so apple aren't shafting me!) but it all works and nearly all to anexceptional quality (minus the incall sound quality), but at the end of the day you should pay for quality. I'm gonna get so much stick now from the iphone haters... bring it on big boys.
Firmware R1CA037 had been released in asia, probably available worldwide, in this update i noticed that Satio had became more responsive even thought i didn't have the software issue experienced by lots of users, it was a minor update, was hoping for equalizer to be included but none.
I have a question to owners, I have right now one old phone from Sony Ericsson K750i, it has a led flash, that can be made by shortcuts as a light whenever I need it, and I need it often. Is it possible to use the light the same way to Satio?
It appears people are having MORE trouble AFTER the Satio Update than before.
