In GSM Arena comparison, P12 beated Satio in more than 75% of the comparison fields (see the Winner titles). My advice to you: drop SE from your heart, try to be unbiased, be polite and behave. Bye for now.
Great review, thank you GSMARENA...

"While the Pixon12 did have a small edge in image quality and xenon flash performance, the Satio has its own strengths as well." - GSM arena.
Read that? SMALL EDGE. Not "overwhelmingly" as you've stated out of your sheer stupidity, but SMALL EDGE.
Try learning to read. It's a useful life skill.

The S60 5th edition U... moreIf u say that Sony Ericsson sucks, are you trying to hint to us that Omnia HD is beter than Satio, well, it's your opinion, but I think that you shouldn't say that in the first place.
Firstly, all phones have their own advantages and disadvantages in one way or another, you can't just go around saying Omnia's better than Satio.
Please watch what you type or say.
amazing phone! Best I've ever had.. The sound quality is really good. The frequencies they’ve mentioned is hardware equalisation. This can be changed as time goes, by both firmware update and/or adding an equaliser
Qualitywise, Satio realy is excellent, and for someone who doesn’t bother/know much about equalisers and doesn’t normally touch them, Satio will be the best thing they will even listen to. Boosting high frequencies give the sound extra clarity while lowered low ones reduce the bass. I guess this is adjusted to HPM-77 headset, as they have a little too strong bass and not clear enough highs.
Anyway, I am perfectly happy with Satio sound quality, and I think I am a reliable source of information when it comes to music, as music is VERy important part of my life… definitely much more than photography
Also, I think GSMarena is a bit unprofessional.. especially on the first page when they list Satio disadvantages… For example…No office document editing. What?! If it wasn’t there at all (Office reader) they wouldn’t mention it… SE didn’t particularly advertise Office mobile, so what’s their problem?
No DivX or XviD support out-of-the-box ??!! So? Can be easily changed with instlation of software. Competition has nothing more than Real player! How can that be a disadvantage? C’mon, how long does it take to install a program on Symbian? It would be the same if they would complain that MicroSD was in the box, rather than in the Satio (it was in the Satio, I was jsut trying to give an example).
Or the complain about flash… Damn… Nokias and Samsung only have LEDs.. Satio beats them by a huge margin… ANd it;s the best in it’s class, so what to complain about? perhaps they should complain about noise levels not matching DSLRs?
And complaining about UI is just ridiculous.. I’d say it’s a crime. SE has developed the best S60v5 UI so far… It’s the thing that amazed me about Satio the most…
Finally, No digital compass. No comment really…. How can such a thing be disadvantage? Perhaps they should add that Satio doesn’t have w900i type keyboard??!! Is compass a standard (or even useful!) feature?
The rest of their complains are FAIRLY reasonable…
ANd I won’t forgive them saying that Pixon12 is better (even by a small margin) as everyone knows it’s not! Are these oversaturated colours supposed to be it’s advantage??!! If someone really wants something looks unnatural, he/she can always edit it on a PC.
I am very disappointed with GSMarena to be honest, i considered the as a reliable source of information until now.

Read the Satio/Pixon12 comparison review on GSM Arena, it clearly states that Pixon 12 overwhelmingly beats Satio, and I think this is the fact. Here in the Arabian Gulf (UAE & Qatar), Satio is far cheaper than Pixon 12. Satio internal is only 128 MB, and there is no DIVX. Let's wait for Xperia X2, maybe it will fix SE now tarnished image.

Do those phones not have disadvantages as well?

Has anyone attempted to upgrade the software on this phone.
It seems very hard to follow looking at the Sony Ericsson weibsite and just wanting to know if a knew update is available and what does it fix on the current release software.
Problems I have is when I compare audio quality to my N95 its terrible but I understand I could also have a faulty MIC but hoping a software upgrade may fix this problem or help it.
Also when I connect my phone to my car bluetooth handfree its very poor quality and crackles alot and does not happen with any my other phones.
Do you think future software upgrades may help these issues?

Xenon flash is not adequately powerful
The S60 5th edition UI isn't to the best in class standards
No 3.5mm audio jack or a standard USB port
No DivX or XviD support out-of-the-box
No smart or voice dialing
Playing flash videos in the browser easily depletes the available RAM
No office document editing (without a paid upgrade)
No stereo speakers
No digital compass (magnetometer)
omnia hd n97 n900 all better phones for the money
stop kidding yourselves already, ericsson sucks

Just open the phone's multitasking by holding the menu button and close the applications that are running that you're not using. Also, when you first bought the phone, you should've fully drained you're battery first then afterward full charge it, this procedure must really be done to achieve high battery performance.

We don't work for Sony Ericsson.
My Satio lasts 2-3 days with moderate use. By moderate use, I mean listen to half an hour of music, 100ish texts and few phone calls and a few photos every day.
If your phone lasts about 2 minutes, try putting the battery in the phone. It usually works.

I happen to know that there are no larger capacity batteries in that form factor than 1000mAh. Do you really think SE wants to give the user less battery power? Try measuring the battery capacity of the included 1000mAh battery before you make pointless comments that are wrong.
