You've have yet to expericence this phone yet you claim that other phones are better?
Do those phones not have disadvantages as well?
Please at least attempt to use your sad excuse for a brain first, before slandering other phones.
Hii guys.....i am planning to buy this phone....please comment....
1.Is it worth the cash?
2.Is the sound better than 5800(not quality but the volume/output)

please do comment ASAP!!
Has anyone attempted to upgrade the software on this phone.
It seems very hard to follow looking at the Sony Ericsson weibsite and just wanting to know if a knew update is available and what does it fix on the current release software.
Problems I have is when I compare audio quality to my N95 its terrible but I understand I could also have a faulty MIC but hoping a software upgrade may fix this problem or help it.
Also when I connect my phone to my car bluetooth handfree its very poor quality and crackles alot and does not happen with any my other phones.
Do you think future software upgrades may help these issues?

Xenon flash is not adequately powerful
The S60 5th edition UI isn't to the best in class standards
No 3.5mm audio jack or a standard USB port
No DivX or XviD support out-of-the-box
No smart or voice dialing
Playing flash videos in the browser easily depletes the available RAM
No office document editing (without a paid upgrade)
No stereo speakers
No digital compass (magnetometer)
omnia hd n97 n900 all better phones for the money
stop kidding yourselves already, ericsson sucks

Just open the phone's multitasking by holding the menu button and close the applications that are running that you're not using. Also, when you first bought the phone, you should've fully drained you're battery first then afterward full charge it, this procedure must really be done to achieve high battery performance.

We don't work for Sony Ericsson.
My Satio lasts 2-3 days with moderate use. By moderate use, I mean listen to half an hour of music, 100ish texts and few phone calls and a few photos every day.
If your phone lasts about 2 minutes, try putting the battery in the phone. It usually works.

Making calls are fine though, and if you use Softbank you can even use SMS...I tried it ;-)

I happen to know that there are no larger capacity batteries in that form factor than 1000mAh. Do you really think SE wants to give the user less battery power? Try measuring the battery capacity of the included 1000mAh battery before you make pointless comments that are wrong.
Leo, 28 Oct 2009No, this model is not available in Japan market.how come ??? R u sure ??? haiz....cant own tis phone...>.
Seylan, 27 Oct 2009Hi, does any one know what the build quality of this phone is like? It doesn't look very attra... moreThe build quality on Satio is good, and the camera lid is metal. I have it myself and I am really happy with the HW.
The battery of this phone isnt a 1000mAh,its 900mAh.Infact,SE employees are getting 1350mAh batteries.Talk about theft!
I been useing the phone for 1 week now, have to say its been pretty good.the camera is the strongest point in satio and the rest is just like a normal symbian handset.yes it still contains abit of bugs, but considered its a new handset that can be forgivened until the next update.from experience all phones has bugs on there first couple months of release(specially nokia handsets).compare to my previous handset(n97),satio has shown stability, speed, better screen and most importantley is responsive.every phone has its downsides ,for those are considering to get the satio my advise is go for it as its a true multi media smartphone.
PS: has anyone upgrade there firmware yet???is it any different to the previous one??post your thoughts ...thx
I just bought this phone a few days ago and it's good but not great. The only great thing I can I can point out is the camera. The batterylife is very very disappointing(not lasting 1 day even with under moderate usage)and the quality of the screen and the battery cover is not up to standard. I don't like iphone, but this phone has many disadvantages over iphone sadly... If you don't like a handphone with lousy battery, this is definitely not for you.
I love this phone. it has everything i want, and the 12mega pixel camera will be great for the type of photo's i do ;) but the only problem is that i could not seem to find the buttons. any suggestions?
Yesterday, the fone showed full charge and so I put the alarm on and when to sleep. The alarm went off and the power had gone from 100% to under 25%,this within eight hours.Hows that possible.Anyway, charged the fone to full again and it didnt last me 14 hours.I used it to listen to music, delet messages etc and play a game and the power had gone.Is there something that I am doing wrong?
