Joseph C, 05 Nov 2010Sonylover, this is one thing I will agree on. The satio looks way hotter than the N8. But look... morethere is a lots of report related to failure of software, crash etc in satio.. same goes with my g900.. i've been using my g900 for quite a year and it worked fine although sometime its quite slow, despite huge flame from the other owner said that its suck, crashes often, or what so ever(see g900 comment), and i bought it without any hesitate and has been using it untill now, only a few scratches thanks to accidentally dropping, but it worked fine WITHOUT any problems(freeze, couldn't switch on, touchscreen not working, etc). for me i think its depend for each individual to choose wisely which phone suit them well. i am gonna put my faith in sony once again.
Chris, 05 Nov 2010Hi friends, Is Multitouch avalible in this phone. No,multitouch isn't available.
Sonylover, this is one thing I will agree on. The satio looks way hotter than the N8. But looks won't keep you happy, the functionality will. That's why I suggested n8.
One advantage of satio over N8. The satio is super great at closeups but that's all
Anonymous, 05 Nov 2010If you hate s.e. then better leave this forum, go to your n8 then buy it,
simple and plain.... moreFirstly, I own a Satio. Secondly, I wouldn't be buying an N8 as I am neither in the requisite financial position nor am I willing to give away the satio for a phone 30% or so better while taking a financial hit of 40%.
I do love my satio and would tell you that it is a good phone and it has a very capable camera. But for others there are better options. Nokia phones have tones of hackers working on them starting from pnht, hyperx and so all. Satio can't be modded at all. not only is it impossible to flash the satio, you can't even hack it in the latest firmware. the N8 already has mods allowing continuous autofocus and 720p at 30fps. Plus the n8 is guaranteed updates nokia style, unlike satio which was castrated then dumped by SE. How many are aware that satio is capable of 720p but is restricted by SE. It has a superior camera module to the one in vivaz. It runs a processor which is clocked to 1Ghz in the galaxy s but is force to run at 450 mhz in satio. Yes, SE capped the operating freq form 600 to 450. Search on the net for proof of it.
But I have been an SE fan since my k510,k800 times and let me tell you
But only with their feature phones.
Plus the N8 is capable of video playbacks in many formats at high bitrate. Something which appeals to me. My next phone will also be a camera oriented one but I plan on waiting for the next generation phones instead of buying the N8.
had this phone for almost 2 months now..great phone..no crashes so far..battery life, though, is improper/undesirable for this phone since it has a lot of applications..

There is something called an N8 which has all the things which you claimed the satio doesn't have. In case you have bought the satio, the phone will do a perfect job of turning you from sony lover to sony hater.

for me satio lack of
1. HD recording
2. battery life
3. capacitive touch screen and AMOLED
there is no perfect phone in this world, so i am gonna buy it this 6 Nov, SE rocks! ;)
I have had this phone for about 5 months and pretty much have found it to be the best phone i have ever had! the pics are unbelievable (especially in a metalica moshpit) but one thing i have to warn every possible buyer is it crashes at least once aday and every now and again when an incoming call is ringing it wont let you answer you have to pull the battry out. so very unreliable... if they worked out the kinks or if its just my phone it would be the only one i would ever have!
