Nice Phone , release as early as possible .. dont take ages . waiting ....
Hopefully the sony ericsson idou does not turn out like the c905 with the crappy earpiece speaker (hence why im sticking with my k800i in the mean time) and also its nice that sony ericsson incorporated a Symbian OS into the idou and that it has incorporated a tones of features into the idou
Can all the noobs please stop posting 12mp OMG. We know its the best phone on the market now go away.
I wish and pray this will be a capacitative touchscreen. I have very bad experience with my SE p1i, it got nudged in a corner and i had to replace it

I also think that Idou would be great product with most of the innovative features embedded into it. Beside that the 12.1 MP camera and music quality would be for watching.. Let us see what the phones does when launched
lol, how did you know it is resistive..
SONY, has no word about it yet.
and to all carl zeiss fans, sorry to say but EXMOR is much better than zeiss.
and idoou is using it.
SE,all ur fans are requesting for capacitive screen.please, make our dreams come true please.
Anonymous, 08 Mar 2009Hopefully they will not release this phone with resistive touch screen. It means you can't pl... moreIf SE's reason behind in using a resistive screen is purely cost... then, they have to reconsider.
I will be one among plenty who will shy away from the IDOU if the real phone will be a resistive screen.
I have a W760i and waiting for the IDOU release as my primary phone.
aappt, 07 Mar 2009Its funny how easily people are impressed with 12MP camera... Other than that, i prefer nokia 5800XMhahaha. 5800??? Dat's da buggiest fone Nokia has come up with. 2 of ma frenz gave it back within 1 mnth of use.
Anonymous, 07 Mar 2009Somebody knows the reason why Sony preferred a resistive touchscreen for the IDOU? Anyone?Hopefully they will not release this phone with resistive touch screen. It means you can't play games on it or it will be extremely difficult since you can only press one button at a time (no multi-touch). This is a deal breaker for me.
The reason why Sony is sticking with resistive touch screen is because it's older technology and cheaper to implement. Or they are afraid of being sued by Apple. Apple obtained a patent for multi-touch screen on mobile devices.
Hi to all the viewers i honestly don't really care about the size of the screen and what ever the others said bout the idou, i just love the fact that the idou has a 12 MP camera an memory to hold my bad a*s sounds any way i gotta have it anyone knows the price HOLLA
Anonymous, 07 Mar 2009Somebody knows the reason why Sony preferred a resistive touchscreen for the IDOU? Anyone?I prefer resistive, as you don't have to worry about how you press, you can be more accurate by using a nail or stylus, plus with a good one you don't have to apply any really noticable pressure, but you still have the ability to not quite press, so you don't make accidental selections
Somebody knows the reason why Sony preferred a resistive touchscreen for the IDOU? Anyone?
This phone will not be able to record HD. The only good thing about this phone is that it has got a 12MP camera, that's about it...
