Its a nice and friendly Mobile and everyone saying that its not possible to download data to t230 but i've a software and cable which can transfer Images as well as Tones to T230 if u need dat software join my Groups http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gsm_solutions

Oh, in addition, the phone is sometimes unresponsive to keypresses (mind you, im not that fast of a composer of SMS). Plus, the message alert tone is only one. Weak even. What's up with that?
I'm planning to trade this phone with the Nokia 6510. I don't need a colored screen. A phone just enough to carry along the main phone on a diffrent network. Calls and SMS will do fine without a colored screen.

I dunno, used this fone as a back-up fone (text and calls). So far, I can say that the phone isnt very nice to use. The keypad is very stiff, hard to press. It takes around 5-6 keystrokes before you can actually send an SMS (send-choose name-choose number-click on down key 2 times cos it's hi-lighted to add receipient-then you can finally send it). So tedious. I'm not quite familiar on how to get rid of it...cos I really dont use it much, but you know, maximizing its feature would be nice.
Other than that, I have no more gripes.

it is a good phone in low price but do not download images from all sights ..images from the site of sonyericson's own site are good only ... do not download games.. if you have any link plz. post me for images and games

A good looking phone! I love to take it out on front of everyone! But the T9 Dictionary is giving me a lot of problems. Stiff buttons. And read somewhere that data cable is available for this model but does anyone know where to insert?? I don't see any slots!

phone lags, can't switch on if you turn it off, hangs, very little memory, buttons are stiff and hard to type. it's worth less than archived nokia phones now. don't bother getting it

You can find the software of the t230 on www.sonyericcson.com, either you download ringtones and wallpapers from here, or you need to get a WAP connection (or tell someone to MMS you a poly ringtone).
