Hi, I am bashir from Pakistan T290 just arrived here in pakistan, i get it. Its reception is good, tones are good, gprs is also fine, resolution is nice although it is 4096 colours, but i am not satisfactory with its battery timing, according to sony ericson standby mode it is 300 hours and talk time is 12 hours. I am not agreed with their opinion becz standby mode is only 70-80 hours which is not enough and talk time is not more than 1.30 or 2 hours at peak.

Funky phone!! a little sluggish though but worth it for the price. Can any one tell me the difference btween the t230 and the t290i (apart from the face color)..i mean there must be some difference right?!

In pakistan what's the difference between getting a mobile zone 1 year gurantee/ warranty or a local 1 year warranty. Does it make any differnece? Thanks

i bought sony ericsson t290i for 4600rs but the problem i feel in se sets is that they are fixed cased sets u cant change its casing and they are very delicate too

I recently bought this cell T290i 3 days ago in Kolkata (West Bengal,India) from Sony World. It cost me Rs. 4495 /- with bill & 1 yrs warranty. The cell has a built in 1MB memory, with 2 games V-Rally and DeepAbyss. The color is impressive even at 4096 and the most importantly the cell is not sluggish as reported earlier. I would reommend it to anyone looking for a smart, sleek cell at an affordable price 'cause altogether the package is very cost effective. The accesories (FM + hansfree, USB connector) are costly though if you plan on buying the original Sony ones but that is true for any other cell from the top brands. I hope this compact review will make you make a better decision. Bottomline - "Don't waste your money of the best/costliest because Technology it will remain the best for not more than couple of weeks."
