hey dj_ashtray... you have the same wish as me ^____^. I actually was thinking of doing electronic and upgrade my own T610 by myself (i know that is stupid.. but i like to have more features on T610's design, i like it, its fantastic. It is the true art of design.
hey ppl,
this is d most hardwarin fone ever , forgot those nokia fones that are "splashproof", my fren has dis fone and she has dropped it down her steet and even swam with it for 5 minutes b4 realisin it was in her pocket all she did was let it dry and it worked at the end of the day ,miracle fone
I used to have a SE T610... Well what can I say? Before T610 I didn't like SE, I was a hardly devoted Motorola Fan, but since the first time I had it in my hands I knew I was wrong about SE.
I just don't know how Could I live all the time without a SE in my hands? The SE T610 was my first SE cellphone and with this one was enough to teach myself to love SE.
T610 had everything I wanted a Camera, a big screen with a very good definition, easily interface, BlueTooth and Irda, excelente reception and Sound Quality within callings, A really.. really.. really good? no I'd say Excellent quality in Midi sound, No brand of cellphone rings better tha SE. T610 I say is one of the best creation of SE lab, totally hat off to SE.
I'd like SE creates a T650i, with a 2 mpx camera, photo and video, Mp3/AAC/3GP/MP4 player, flash & autofocus, Bluetooth, Irda, Memory slot, Stereo Sound, EDGE and a very good SE 256k col OLED Screen. Well, almost the same as k750/w800 functions but with the classic T610 dessign, i wouldn't care what i'd have to do to get this phone, Perhaps Sellin' my soul to devil would be a insignificant sacrifice to get this "imaginary" phone {LOL} :-) SE RULES AND T610 EVEN MORE !!!
One day i was clining my swiming pool and i droped my T610 in the cool water I didn't saw this and i coninue to cleaning the pool after 20 minutes i saw him under the water and i jump. The result-20 minutes with hot gun at the 30 min the gsm turns ON.I use my Sony ericsson 2 years.Excuse me about the English
Great phone. Best one I've ever had. Bought it in 2003 wen it was brand new, and since then it's been dropped hundreds of times and only recently has the mic started acting up. Great battery life, and you'll never have to buy a new battery. Even after two years' use mine can run fine for a week with moderate use. Nothing like my new Siemens which lasts a couple days as _new_. Long story short, this is still a great, tough, beautiful phone for anyone who doesn't need fancy megapixel cameras or the like.
My friend was riding his motorcycle at 250km and the T610 fell out of his pocket, it took him 1 hr to find all the bits but just tapped it together and he still uses it today...............true story, cause i was behind him when i saw it fly past me.
I have had this phone for 2 years i actually liked it. Its a small phone which is good easy to travel with. And even though the ringers dont have words they sound cool, the camera is best outside in sunlight, bluetooth and infrared is cool good to send pics, the themes are cool and downloadable, and much more if you like a phone that is small and fun get this one. i give it a 7.8/10
hey.. andre.. are you sure that t610 is fragile? i read opinion that some user dropped it from 3rd floor and still works. I believe that because i dropped my t610 from 2nd floor and it hit the sharp edge of the rock and it took the battery off from the phone. Yet.. after all, all that i got is just a little bit of scratched here and there and the screen gets a little bit dirty, everything else it works fine.
i love the T610 cos its a nice one. But i have a lil prob when playing game it does jam, and unless u off d phone b4 it will come back to normal. Whats the cause.
i boght it a few months back and i think everything's ok on condition that u handle it with care,it is too fragile to use it the way we want to in our busy lifestyle.but it's good all the way.
It's an ok phone but it fell this morning an it just wont load what can i do. I tried taking out the battery and the sim but still didnt work what can I do. Sony erricsons are too fragile
simple design and have a nice keypad, smart phone but the weakness still like other ; memory 2mb only can't upgrade, music recorded can't be mp3 but to others user this website is free for all sony ericsson user www.lasyk.net
I have owned the T610 for just over a year now. It never really gave me any trouble until recently when i dropped it and the lcd was so cracked that you could hardly use the phone. I lost all of my contacts and had to start all over with my new samsung Z700 (great phone).
i've used this phone for 8 months. it's actually not too bad a phone, but here are the few things i dislike-
1. memory - only 2MB.
2. can't set mp3s/voice recordings as ringtone
3. if u restart the phone with a new sim card, u'll lose the msgs saved in the phone when u used it with the previous sim card
4. laggy, hangs at times. eg when i want to make a missed call, the person picks up and i press "cancel" immediately...but it takes about one second for the call to end
5. the aluminium casing scratches easily if u drop the phone. buying new casing is expensive.
6. camera is not very good, but ok
7. phone sms memory is quite limited
what i like-
1. the IR actually works!! unlike some nokias and samsungs
2. can easily find themes for download..there are even programs for u to create ur own theme (http://www.myt610.com)
3. relatively small n compact
4. not too expensive
would rate it about 6.5/10
Own this phone for two years, great design, offers a lot of bluetooth services: dial up networking, serial port, file transfer, synchronization, you name it...I turn the bluetooth on all the time, still gives a decent 2 days battery life for normal usage. Connects well with my Ipaq for web browsing. What I really wnt to have right now is T610i black edition...(TFT screen, larger memory, better photo, same design)...if only they made it... -------> i agree with u itok.. im waiting for them to upgrade this model and put the flash as well ^^
memory lacking, camera not that great...reception excellent...performance is top notch...long lasting coz my dog chewed this puppy up and yet nothing bad has happened to the phone
great phone but the memory is lacking and with no MP3 player
I dropped my t610 from 3rd floor when I've just bought it.. Nothing had happened. The best sides of this phone are, shapeful, light, "quickshare", strong, ability to take photos in different moods such as monochrome. But the bad sides are, 2mb memory is so low for such a phone. When you delete everything in the phone, you just able to take 30-32 photos. Also in sunny weathers it is hard to see the screen. You cannot send and receive bluetooth messages although you got bluetooth. I used it for 1 year but thanks got it has stolen..
I’ve had this phone for almost 2 years and unfortunately it has not been the best phone I’ve had. Problems I have had with it include:
- The back light not coming on therefore you can’t see the screen;
- Freezing occurs quite frequently; and
- Sometimes when going to make a call it seems to 'cancel' the phone call.
Although having all these problems, I should mention the fact that a few of my friends have the same phone and haven’t experienced any problems with it, maybe mine is just a dud one but even so I don’t think I will buy another Sony Ericsson.
