After using it for few days i can say that the battery life is decent. I dont like how it does not insert (-) when entering phone numbers i also wish that the t9 would automatically add words to your dictionary instead of going to a separate menu and spelling it out.
aldinho, 26 Nov 2008oh i seem to have forgotten to take into account that you think the silver on black is "so-so"... moreWell yea, I'm more the conservative type so I don't usually go for "loud" colors, but what it is is that I'd love to get an out-of -the-ordinary color configuration, like the shining black with silver call keys, 'cause IMO the black on silver is just plain. Think I'll just stick with the black on silver as I want to get this by Christmas. Pity shining black isn't available yet :( ...
Hey I'm 16 so thanks very much for your response ;)
kevibeni, 26 Nov 2008The black on silver is just so-so, quite plain. So I need an opinion. Is the red version too "... moreoh i seem to have forgotten to take into account that you think the silver on black is "so-so"... in that case, the black on red is a must... oh and look out for my previous reply, it's not 5 messages above yours...
aldinho
reply to kevibeni...
personally i think the red is a really good choice...kind of uni-sex i think...but if you are more the conservative type, perhaps the wait for the shiny black will be worth it... do let me know what your final decision is...
aldinho
(perhaps the fact that im a 17 y/o guy might infuence your decision as well?)
The black on silver is just so-so, quite plain. So I need an opinion. Is the red version too "red" for a male? Would any of you guys go red?
Or should I wait for shining black with that slick look?( http://semcblog.com/2008/11/19/t700-in-shining-black/ ) Or maybe even shining gold? ( http://semcblog.com/2008/11/24/new-colours-for-t700/ )
Please let me know :|
T700 User, which provider are you using? If it is t-mobile go to their page and you will find it here:
http://support.t-mobile.com/knowbase/root/public/tm22882.htm?A2L.SERVICE=
In the middle of the page there is a link that says
'Begin using the T-Mobile Wireless Configurator'
If it is any other provider try typing it in google
'vodafone mms settings' so on...
docmart, 23 Nov 2008it is available in the phil with the black on silver i just got one the other day. incredible ... morei don't think it's officially available in the philippines, as Sony Ericsson itself doesn't have them last time I checked... only saw 1 store in Megamall Cyberzone with a t700.
question, how much did you pay for yours?
Anonymous, 25 Nov 2008You'll have to set it up. SE has a page on their site where they will message you a config set... moreHey I tried going to the SE support page but it's currently down at the moment, I even tried calling the Tech Support number and they couldn't configure the settings either. Does anybody know where else I could get these settings set?
Anonymous, 24 Nov 2008looks like a real decent phone. pls anyone tell me is this phone has radio.. coz the official ... moreyes it has radio but you have to plug in the headphone because it acts like an antenna.
T700 user, 25 Nov 2008Hey I completely agree with you but the vibrating doesn't really bother me on the menu screen.... moreYou'll have to set it up. SE has a page on their site where they will message you a config setting for your phone. I did it awhile back, put in AT&T as my carrier (they'll have a list of carriers worldwide), put my number in and wait a few min until I received a few message saying that they will configure the phone automatically.
SK, 24 Nov 2008just got mine in today, This phone is great, screen is awesome, its not too small not too big.... moreHey I completely agree with you but the vibrating doesn't really bother me on the menu screen. The phone is awesome, I got mine a couple days ago but I don't know how to get Picture or Voice Messages to activate and I can't even access the internet, would you know by any chance how to get that running?
yea the sudden vibration on the phone was foul, but u can definitely turn it off, other than that, its an awesome phone so far! I'm lovin it :)
just got mine in today, This phone is great, screen is awesome, its not too small not too big. the keypad is decent, i can text pretty fast on it, T9 dictionary is pretty good, interface is pretty good except on flash theme every time you move the cursor the phone vibrates which is kinda annoying to me not sure if you can turn it off, Messaging interface is advanced (can save messages to memory cards) Sync'd easily with windows contacts with Sony Ericsson PC Suite. Can use the PC Suite to send text messages, pic messages, Camera takes decent vivid and clear pictures, phone feels very solid no cheap feeeling at all anywhere, very stylish (black n reD) organizer has extra apps (converter, tip calculator. etc) only thing i dont like so far is the navigation pad its kinda small for my hands. And I dont like how it doesnt have a clear(back) button, you always have to use the right soft key. Phone is amazingly light. Will leave a comment on the batter life later.
-You can use the flash as a flash light
looks like a real decent phone. pls anyone tell me is this phone has radio.. coz the official SE web site states it dosent have radio.im bit confused ...iwant to buy phone,, plz help me
This is a cool phone given out by Sony, got it 11550/- in chennai. good features and nice cam, lacks auto focus but still is able to take good pictures, has only 4 pre installed themes. looking out for more.. good overall aspects.
yes no front camera even though this is a great phone i live in India and i bought this from Pure-Mobile the unlocked phone. And i have no words to explain this phone. i think its the best phone i owned. :)
Gents, why sony is still glued to 256K screen? I just don't get it. Sony should introduce 16M DISPLAY in their majority of phones..
