Georgie, 14 Jun 2010Dear all, I bought this phone as I thought I should give a try to SE, after all the hard years... moreYes I too have got similar display problems with my Vivaz, the screen flickers when I change mode from camera/video to normal mode. The SE update has introduced some new bugs. To add insult to injury, I cannot get it switched with another good mobile, totally devastated because of Phones4U.
Vivaz looks very beautiful but has problems with the flash UI, GPS gets disconnected automatically even when you are in the open. Please DO NOT BUY
hagop85, 14 Jun 2010i have had the vivaz for 2 months now and i am very happy with the phone, but im having a prob... moreYes I got the same problem with vivaz, updated the software from se website... so far so good.

hi my friends, any body knows which version of garmin mobile xt work on this phone?if have a link plz send on this post tanx.
Dear all, I bought this phone as I thought I should give a try to SE, after all the hard years they have been through.I was waitting for Wave to come up, so I said to myself....."why not a vivaz". I m not very bothered by the resisitve display, I am more bothered by the fact that it lags, when you start typing.
Well, I can deal with that too, but recently, the "contact dots" a resisitve display is using, are starting to be extremely visible. Not only in direct sunlight but even in the dark.Is like a net on my screen under the screen protector....is reallly anoying.
Is there anyone else, who is experinecing the same problem. I had Jet, before, using the same type based display, resisitve, and I haven't had this problem.
I would also recomend not to ever update a Symbian device. I have done same mistake with all my past Nokia cells. After the update, everything went worst, and after every update, it went worst and worst. I completely lost a E 52 and a N79. I thought SE would be different, so I went and have updated the device.... now I experience problems I didn't have it in the beggining. Freezng, lagging ( every now and them) and curious!!!! more caracthers you type, the phone is becoming slower and slower. ANother thing...the display has to be calbrated almost every week....so guys, ...it is what it is.... suhc a pitty...is hte most beuatiful touch screen cellphone...but what is beauty without substance....Vivaz is a woman....;)
abuzer, 11 Jun 2010i read a review abut vivaz saying the pathetic condition of sound clarity and only the snap qu... moreIf you're on about whether to get the w995 or the vivas i'd say dont bother with the w995..
Ive had this phone since august '09 and had nothing but problems since. I've had 6replacement phones so far. Yeah the features are really good but in relation to the problems its just not worth the hassle.
hagop85, 14 Jun 2010i have had the vivaz for 2 months now and i am very happy with the phone, but im having a prob... morei would recommend you to put paper at the end part of the battery so that it would be tighter and update your device
i have had the vivaz for 2 months now and i am very happy with the phone, but im having a problem with it. The phone switches off by it self every now and again. Has this happened to anybody else?
out of all the vivaz's sold in store around 75% of them needed exchanged within 28 days for various reasons mainly software but different ones everytimeish
nick, 11 Jun 2010my htc hd2 is drop and drag too, the phone does all the work finding the files, though i dont ... moreOnce you have used capacitive you wont go back. Well maybe you would. I had to send a text on an iphone this weekend and a few words took a couple of minutes as Im so used to my phone, and the iphone I used screen had problems, the owner mentioned that the screen appears to be 'wearing out' Some sections of the screen dont work on the 1st tap and rather a few touhes to get a response. Not sure whats going on there.
Im sure the iphone is easy to get data on and off once you have got used to the software and how it works and there is a pc close by with Itunes. It is just irritating that its the equivalent of going to the toilet but beforehand you have to change into different clothes. It is because apple will never allow me to plug into a Windows PC and just explore the device as it were a memory stick. Example being at a friends house taking photos or vids on the iphone and they want a copy...Oh but they dont have an iphone and therefore no itunes. So they cant give them to you on the spot.
Emmie, 12 Jun 2010hi i love the vivaz phone, not had it all that long, 1 slight problem i find with the phone th... moreYou thought the battery of a smartphone would last for more than 1-2 days? Smartphones, especially touchscreen phones, use a lot of data and the battery life is never going to be as great as a "dumb"phone. I have a BB, which are supposed to have great battery life, and under heavy usage I get about 1-2 days which to me is great. If you get that much out of a smartphone with a touchscreen then I must say it's battery life is okay. I'm thinking of getting this or the X10.
