Ramez, 20 May 2012thanks so much DSLR (^_^)...I think I'm going for vivazYou're welcome. If you really want to know what 24fps can do, look at this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmxNtLqSg9E
People! I don't understand why this phone didn't make heavier impact on market as it should have. Maybe cause of symbian? Anyhow, the mobile is absolutely brilliant in terms of camera results! The only lag is when taking shots on dusk or at night when this what they call-flash light is useable only at near point shot, meaning cm's. My hronological experience with great phones/cameras is k750, k800 (wow!), n82 and now u5i. Two things bother me though. First is that it doesn't have cyber-shot taste with option such as BestPic! (major downer!) and as second, why in the earth SE staff haven't paid attention to all user ideas about updating more, better? SE is no more, I guess we'll never see another update for this piece of art... Although N8 is next on my wishlist, I'm going to keep vivaz to show how design and performance can match... Pozdrav!
Wht does it cost in india,nd should i have to unlock the fon if place a order from net..??
Ramez, 14 May 2012thanks very much...but I think you forgot that VIVAZ lacks video stabilization while RAY has a... moreFPS stands for Frames Per Second. The quality of video depends on different phones based off their CPU structure and how it can handle many frames at once. In this case, 24fps works best with the Vivaz's 720MHz CPU and the 30fps works best with the 1024 MHz CPU of the Ray. This way, when you multitask with the 1024 MHz CPU of the Ray and take a video, it may seem to lag or lack great detail since the 1024 MHz CPU is not enough to handle the greater number of frames. 24fps is commonly referred to as the 'film look' or 'cine look'. 24fps would not look good when shooting fast moving subjects, like in sports for example. Shooting at 24fps would be best for special scenes to show detail for example. Recording a minute long video in 24fps will bring you great detail with quality the whole time. 30fps brings you smoothness in the video but will lack detail and high quality. Another advantage is that 30fps requires more frame rates when processing the video, so this will require greater memory-card/phone memory space as the videos will require greater megabytes for the greater frames saved. But this is not the case with 24fps which need less space in comparison. So it is upto you to decide which you want; a cinematic, detailed, economic clip or a smoother, vibrant, heavier clip? But yet, I suggest 24fps for high definition use for everyday purposes.

Can any on tell me,wht does it cost in india nd should i have to unlock the fon...???
bhie, 18 May 2012is sony vivaz, easy to use in text messaging? It is really easy. You've got differnet options for typing: on screen portrait-mode keyboard with small buttons, handwriting recognition which is best when used with stylus and landscape-mode keyboard with large buttons. I recommend using the landscape mode for texting since it is fast, smooth and very easy to configure. If you are in search of a keypad with the same specs, then best go for Sony ericsson vivaz pro u8i.
zid, 18 May 2012can i upgrade the OS android? heheIt is possible, if you flash it with a custom ROM. It may be complicated.
Its a great phone and was a great experience. Infact, for me, this was a way greater experience than the over-rated N97, N900 or the XpressMusic 5800. The camera features are simply superb! Love it! 9.5/10!
eman, 17 May 2012would you plz rate this phone for me ?
also i need to know if is it true they reduced the c... moreI'd give it an honest 8/8.5 out of 10.
Well, I'm not sure what you mean by 'new versions', but I can tell you that the SONY ERICSSON VIVAZ PRO has got a 5MP cam, but this phone the SONY ERICSSON VIVAZ has got an 8MP camera. That's the difference.
But the camera with autofocus on this is really great for a mobile phone.
