angelo, 14 Apr 2010I'm really confused. I like this phone a lot. I have had it in my hands (without battery) and ... moretry before you buy'if posible,,in australia it has gone straight onto a cheap plan,,that should have rung alarm bells for me..but i got it anyway,,,,im taking it to a repair centre and have firmware upgrade or reboot,,hope it improves it
Got to shop to replace my P1i phone. It seemed perfect, until I have heard the ringtone. Toooooooo weak. If it is in a pocket or a drawer you won't listen to it. It is weaker than my Nokia 6600i secondary phone, who is known for low speaker sound !!
Could someone who is using vivaz result of photos at night time, and flash works well in low light conditions? reply early...
I jsut bought one on contract, apparantly it captures a picture "automatically"" when your person smiles, lol, i think it looks amazin and with 8gb included, if u go out at weekends and need quik snap shots, sold to the ladies n e way, i wanna get an accessorie wher it goes round my neck, id like that !!!
angelo, 14 Apr 2010I'm really confused. I like this phone a lot. I have had it in my hands (without battery) and ... moreDon't worry too much, it is a good phone for the price its going at imho.
I'm neutral on all brands and can say it is not worse in any way than current available comparables.
Also always keep in mind reviews almost always come from a mixed bag of people with their own biases, generally:
- Dude who remembers the brick-sized phones and are easily impressed by anything (Wow, touchscreen! And it changes when you hold it sideways!)
- Fan who thinks it's the best ever as always
- Fan who liked a previous phone so much they hate every new phone
- Hater who makes unrealistic comparisons (Its a good video camera, yeah, but check those babies they use for movies... etc)
- Hater who takes a flaw and reckons that for that, all of that model should be burnt at stake
and so on.
Just came from the Cnet review, so lol&sry@rant
TL;DR : Vivaz won't change your life. But nor will you regret it. Just do it.
d best cell of Sony Ericsson i hav ever come across....i wish i can buy d cell...!!!!!!
I'm really confused. I like this phone a lot. I have had it in my hands (without battery) and is comfortable and size is just incredible. I think it's the smallest smartphone. I like all features. Only miss a lens cover (do not understand why SE didn't set it). Resistive or capacitive? I have a nokia 5800 and I'm really happy with its resisitive one. It is sensitive enaugh for me. Do not need capacitive. Just like touchscreen cause displays are bigger, thats all. But i don't like 5800's camera, and that's the point because i want to change to Vivaz.
BUT I DO NOT KNOW WHO BELIEVE. Some say it's a horrible phone and others say its the perfect phone. GsmArena says it's a great phone and FonArena says its an average phone... don't know.
I am not a SE fan/hater, and i am not a Nokia fan/hater. I am not anybrand fan/hater. I just want a good phone, don't mind brands. Can people who don't be SE hater or nokia fan help me?
Is it a good phone or not? Vivaz owners help me please!!

Roar..., 14 Apr 2010He's a bit biased about resistive and capacitive screen. I think that review is his personal ... morei wish i could agree with you,,but i think the cnet.au review is spot on...ive put my sim back into my e63'' 23 months and 20days to go on contract
wow liars are here
my friend has vivaz and i can tell you that only drawback of vivaz is weak speakers
design:9.5 of 10(light compact beautiful)
build quality:9 of 10
camera:8.5 of 10
video:9 of 10(only i can say wow)
camera features:8.5 of 10
sound quality:9 of 10(you should change headset to hear real sound quality of vivaz)
media center:8 of 10
battery performance:9 of 10
speed:9 of 10(this is the fastest symbian phone)
touch sensitive:8 of 10(very good in resistive category)
overall vivaz is the best symbian phone even better than my satio
only if it had more powerful speaker and better headset(in the box) and xenon flash then i would say:wonderful
okp, 13 Apr 2010anyone thinking about getting a vivaz,,go to www, cnet, com,au,,,,,have a look what they say,,,,,,,,He's a bit biased about resistive and capacitive screen.
I think that review is his personal opinion, not really
a valid review...
andrew, 14 Apr 2010if you wanna have good sound...buy ipod touch...wew...if u want good vibration...buy vibrator.... moreSo if you need HD video recording, go and buy a camcorder!
SE is always 'skipping' some small things, which if you add up, make the whole deal.... a crappy deal.
Equalizer is a standard feature, how can you miss that?
Adequate flashlight (not xenon) is matter of a little programming, why do you make it so weak ?
Believe it or not, but iPhone makes better pictures in the dark than Vivaz.
I'm not even going to get started on the OS, and the resistive touchscreen.
Lousy speaker and vibration .....
You see, an average phone has 1 or 2 drawbacks, which makes them average.
Vivaz attempts to be above average, but soon or late, having this phone you will feel bellow average!
