Great review of this phone and I would the point you mentioned were spot on, I tried switching off the vibration because what you said and its much better and more responsive I feel.
I added my thoughts on this phone yesterday and said what the good points were and bad but you know what like this site is with some sad individuals who just want to hear all good things about the phone they believe is best and when you differ they through a tantrum saying you must like Samsung or Nokia.
End of the day if people only wanting to read the good points about a product your best to leave this site and just go straight to the manufacturer and just believe everything they tell you is what you will get.
Hi everyone. I'm from Singapore and this is my 1st ever post! I have had the Vivaz for two weeks now and I must say that it is nearly nothing short of amazing.
It does not feel cheap and 'plasticy' and the touch response is excellent. Switching off the touch screen vibration somehow makes the screen feel almost like a capacitive one, and the camera is surprising excellent (I had the Pixon 12, and was afraid it was a step down, but it wasn't).
I have noticed some comments about the Vivaz having a horrid sub-standard camera and I must say that this is my second Vivaz handset: my first HAD a horrid camera - the daylight pictures were so-so, and the low-light pictures had too much noise and were lacking detail, a throw back to the old 2 megapixel O2 phones with no flash 10 years ago. It was only logical that my handset had to be faulty, as Sony Ericsson has not been known to produce high-end devices with substandard features, and I had my handset changed.
My second Vivaz handset was near perfect: the camera produced exceptional pictures, even in night shots. The colors and contrast were very natural, as well as the detail (if there was a way to post my Vivaz photos I would, and if there is a way I am unaware of, please, let me know). The only problem with the camera is that low-light photos taken indoors could have been vastly better, as there is still quite a bit of noise (thought the quality is still much better than my 1st handset). I'm no professional photographer, but I believe it has to do with the algorithms of the software and how it processes images (which can and should be fixed with future firmware updates) as well as the flash (a future update should by and large change the operation of the flash to function in bursts rather than as a 'light').
My only other gripe would be the aging user interface of Symbian, but I am fully aware that there are mods out there which would eventually be available for the Vivaz to bring its UI up to speed with other phones, like the iPhone and even the android handsets.
Well, I hope my comments have been at least informative to some. I believe that as consumers we have to look at a product's features and implementations, and not be blinded by trends and brands. Every phone has its cons AND pros; we just need to weigh them and justify our choices properly; not to slam anyone here, but I've noticed some comments blindly 'supporting' one brand over the other with no justification other than the said brand. With that said, have fun window-shopping for your next handset!
I have got it for 3 days. So I'm learning how to use it. It seem to me like one of the toppest handsets. Camera and video is perfect, better than many not expensive cameras. But the sound of music is unexpectingly only average quality. In comparison to my N70 - worse, and to Samsung J700 more than worse. Using better headphones than original one, the music sounds better but still not good as you'd expect.
The video is so impressive. The design and quality is fantastic. The battery life is good. The only problem is the GPS and map. GPS navigation is not free like nokia.
Really this phone has everything one wants
I have Samsung Omnia HD but considering of trading it for this stuff.

I just stumbled upon a very detailed video review of this phone on a UAE retailer’s website. They’re called Axiom Telecom, and apparently they’re starting to do a bunch of video reviews that are very useful – enough to convince me to buy the phone.

(( face Front Cam Second ))
Video call is a 3G network feature that allows two callers to talk to each other while at the same time viewing live video form each other's phone. To make a video call, both users should have 3G phones which support this feature and they both need to be in range of a 3G network.
