Depending on the sampling rate of your music files (and what format they are), the number of times (if you get them at all, that is) you get the playback failed message is going to vary.
All my songs are at 128kbs, at a sampling rate of 441000HZ. A rate of 48000 or higher will cause more errors.

What brand of M2 card are you using?
I have no idea since I don't use M4A file formats... But yes, from what I know and heard from SE, the 'Failed' or 'Playback Failed' is a known bug with WALKMAN V1. I have not heard from V2 or V3 users who experience this...
My 4GB has done its first playback failed, after 2 weeks of playing music... Quite impressive compared to my 1GB....
Bill, 11 Oct 2008I've updated my webpage quoted on the message from 2008-10-08 16:07 for anyone who is interest... moreJust read '5ushi' comments about 'Playback failed' being a known bug.
Interesting I've only so far only observed this behaviour with m4a files.

Does anyone have issues playing back m4a (128kbps AAC) audio files whereby the W200i reaches the end of a m4a file, and then might refuse to play any other m4a file ?

Marsel, 10 Oct 2008I had Nokia N70 Music Edition. Its earphone/music was excellent. Can anyone please tell me is ... moren70 through power mp3 player+ hpm-70 gives the perfect music infact as comparable to the Megabass... but but megabass is more like a gamble according to me bcoz megabass of w550 is above all music solution so far i have tried. i have the expensive w960, stylish w610 and this little baby w200 where the megabass is not that powerfull. so i think if u get the defective handset then your megabass suffers. thats what has happened with me with w960 and w610 where the megabass is useless whereas megabass of w200 is 50% of w550. am damn sure about my w960 n w610 they really have some problem. so guys if u wanna gamble then u can try your luck otherwise n70 with powermp3 software is great.
I had Nokia N70 Music Edition. Its earphone/music was excellent. Can anyone please tell me is w2oo's headset/music is better than N70. and does this phone have a good Radio Alarm. Thanks in advance...
