I've had this phone for almost a month now. I've sent a file through bluetooth before (to another phone Nokia6682) and there was not any problem at all. i have not experienced any loss of files like the pictures. I love this phone and i am not regretting getting it. It really is multifunctional, awesome camera, MP3 player, and of course, cell phone
Thinking of buying these phone cause I'm looking for these 3 things:
-Good quality cam with flash
-a nice looking "block" (i dont feel like opening stuff to make some calls)
Anyway.. reading some reviews, theres seems to be a problem with the bluetooth function when transfering files.
could anyone confirm me please or tell me if SE already fix it and how.
The phone is very affordable and features are great even it is already old. And by the way I have a K750i and also superb features.
hi, i got this fone on contract along with my m8 about a 2 weeks ago an both of the fones have had 2 be taken back because of software problems an they were both freezing and wiping off all pictures and music, i dont recomend any1 to get this fone as it caused alot of hastle
so far the only way i would know would be ripping it directly.... i only know cdex directly from a cd, and xilisoft ripper to do so.... can't help you assides from this.
i purchased my phone in mexico, and being on silent mode no shutter sound while taking pictures.
yes you do have equalizer while mp3 playing, got 5 preset settings: normal, bass, mega bass, voice, and acute, which you can change on your personal taste.
to prawler, if u use a sim card u can store some of them over there, though, i'm not sure numbers are actually saved on memory stick though...
I used to have K750 - it wasn't great - software bugs making it restart, buttons were stuck from time to time, sound had some noise after a month's use.
Anyway, I was assured by my local store, that this is not an issue with W800, so I bought it.
Well, restarts were rare, BUT today software completely collapsed and phone doesn't start at all.
Local repairers said they have to flash it, but in this way I will lose over 400 contact numbers.
DOES anyone know how I can save my address book? Is there any such software, for example like for PC-s, to just read the phone memory as a slave card?
Please, help me!
Hi, I'm from Phils. planning to upgrade the memory card of my W800to to 2GB. SONY MSX-M2GN (HihgSpeed) or MSX-M2GS, are they both compatible with my phone?
wow this is a great phone unlike the siemens pen phone how rubbish is that. this is such a cool phone
The one that i got in singapore has no shutter sound when turned to silent mode
Can I use or edit part of an MP3 track and set it as my ringtone? If so, How?
this is the best phone that sony has ever made!!! it has the style and flair of the sony k750 and the cool and funky look that no other phone kan compare with. i mean on the one hand you have this wow camera and on the other you have kurt darren or linken park playing in your ears!! f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c!!
who knows how we can turn off camera sound of w800 during taking picture?its not possible if u turn to silent mode!
can the sms ringtone be change to mp3 of our own?? or is still the same like the other models that they have only assigned ringtones for sms ringtone? pls any body can tell me. thanks./
thanks for the info but it's late...ive already dispatched my unit since i can't save sms directly to the mmc...why direct to sim card? pc suite is not working too.
now i'm using n6680 while waiting for p990.
the reason i asked is cuz i did see two artist folders: one in "MP3" and one in "MSS." I erased one folder before, i think it was the one in "MSS" when i did that, i couldnt go to the "artist" folder from the file manager, meaning, i couldnt use my MP3 files for ringtones. However, i am able to play the songs through walkman. i guess ill try to fix this again when i get the chance.
So far i believe so yes. I go on all day about 1 1/2 hour of calls daily, have over 15 games installed on my phone and go on about playing with them like, 3 hours, and listen to music for over an hour daily, i use alarm clock, reminders, etc, and xfer files to computer. u need to remember, if u conect ur phone via usb cable to computer, it will also charge your battery while it goes on xfering files.
so will all mass usage i've got, lets's say i need to charge the battery every 2 days or so.
does this answer your question? Hope so :D
To Adrian, most likely, u'll be able to find it at a TELCEL retailer.
Pd. I still have those mp4 pending huh, could u please email me?
This does not goes for double hun, artist folders are within the mp3 one.
and to rockafeller:
What's meant to be will be in this case, memory stick comes for 512 mb, so I wouldn't personally ry making anything to extend the memory to double, I'd rather pay.
yeah i dont use disc2phone. what i do is copy and paste the files by opening two windows (one folder for my itunes and the other of the memory card using a card reader). Here's my problem:
when u access the memory file on ur comp, theres, like, 4 folders- "DSC" (for pic files) "MP3 "(for the walkman) and something like "MSC." The "MSC" folder contains the folders: Artist, Themes, Ringtones, etc. What i needed to know is: Do you need to put the mp3 files in the "MP3" folder AND the "Artist" folder?????
PS: i agree w/ u bout the disc2phone software...more complicated than just dragging the files u want to the phone memory stick
