SE W800 will be released in India in last week of August got it confirmed by Sony Ericsson officials but not sure about the price. Does ne one has ne idea about the price (sim free)
whats the release date going to be for australia been waiting for this phone for 5 months, already sold my k700..
sorry for caps :p
a person on this website compared a w800 to a ipod which is not even a phone it's an mp3 player
The W800 is the better option than the K750i because the MP3 quality is better and it comes with a 512mb memory stick which is more than enough and it comes with software that lets you rip songs from cd's to mp3 format or AAC
The handset is being launched by o2 on the 12/08/2005. They will be the first U.K network to launch the handset.
hi,im looking forward to hv dis wonderful fone, but wat i need to noe here is whether da 1gb memory in da fone is already inside it,or v need to buy it ourself?
thnx 2 all poster
it is a great phone that i am looking for.
when can we have it in the US?
This is an excellent phone & I am looking forward to Buy one. Currently I am using a Sony Ericsson S700i & would love to get one of these.
its a cool configured mobile, lot of memory space and features, and good pricing just 23500 inr
This phone look's nothing compared to the K750I. What a sad colour the only major diffence is the memory stick. So they would increase the price I see no difference. What a S*** phone!
I have the K750i, its identical to the W800 with the exception of a 512mb memory stick (K750i is only 64mb) but can get one for around £40. Other than that, you can play MP3s whilst phone is off (save battery). A few posters on here are wrong, you can select mp3s as ringtones.
The W800 hasn't been released yet. Speculation is for Q3 2005. I bought my sim-free K750i @ www.myworldphone.com. They had the best prices of all the websites I checked & will be selling this phone upon its release, sim-free.
At last a fixed UK release date. I notice Orange have also added it to their 'coming soon' line-up. Can anyone help with a good website to order a sim-free (and badge-free) version of this? I know it's probably not in stock yet but there must be a decent supplier of sim and badge free mobiles to us UK folk. I prefer to buy it outright than pay £30pm for 18 months...
Yes, someone can listen to music while in places where phones are restricted. When you switch on the W800, there shows two options to select; 'Switch the Phone on' and 'Listen to Music'. If you select 'Listen to Music', the phone only switches on to 'WALKMAN" mode, it doesn't search for your GSM service provider. However, if you select to switch the phone on, you get the normal functions of 'phone' plus 'walkman'.
