The difference between K750i and W800i is music in off line mode and the memorystick of 512MB.
In sweden you can upgrade your K750i to W800i and later downgrade it back. It is all in the firmware. Cost in sweden , around 20$.

hey !! i'm waiting for this phone to come out here in the US, i did a little research and its supposed to be out late 2005 for $699.

Another Q, someoen asked b4, whats the difference between this mobile and the other one, k750 so i think? Is there like a more limited space for music in one of them, and in k750 you cant play music while its switched off and you can in W800

Dude, this mobile rocks big time. I wish i Can have it. But im not sure its a possibility, i dont know how much it costs, but im sure its more than the black one...forgot its #, Anyways, if anyone know how much it costs in UAE, or USA, tell me, id like to know, and oh yeah, when its goin to be released! Im dying to see it!

hey i've got the Sony K7501 and the reason i've bought is b'coz the resolution and features have left all mobiles behind,when read abt the W800 and it's features i'm completely flipped could anyone tell me at what price it's gonna launch??????

I would have a question about "MP3 Ringtones". As I'm not a fanatic of phones I asked myself if you could set your own MP3's that you have downloaded on the web or only specified MP3 Ringtones for mobile phones ??

can any 1 tell me what the difference is between the sony ericsson w800, k750 and d750 apart from the fact that the w800 can play music when it is turned off? they are all the same weight, have the same memory, same camera quality and the w800 and d750 even look the same!!

ok, people are complaining about it being big...too bad, it has a card slot, and 2 mp cam and various other features which old SE phones do not...
it probably will not be coming to cingular or tmobile as they are pushing their 850mhz bands and therefore this phone will not work as it is 900/1800/1900.
The camera system and lens are the same with the k750 and w800...only the outer housing is different
yes it will be more expensive than the k750 but there are reasons:
it is newer, duh, price goes down over time... it has a better camera cover..which is less bulky, it comes with a 512 card instead of the 64 on the k750, and it has advanced walkman features which the k750 does not have. it also comes with cd ripping software and better headphones than the k750. AND it MAY (rumored) have a 3.5mm jack or jack adaptor on it, which the k750 does not have.

I'm seriously considering this as a phone/music player hybrid so I can stop carrying around a phone AND portable mp3 player. The camera and video recorder are a nice bonus. But, I'd want to get it sim free in the UK, which looks like being around £300 in August.
Before I start saving, what are the alternatives, where prime use will be a music player & phone. It needs to have a card slot for a minimum of 512mb, but I'm looking at 1gb really. And the battery must be decent.
Apart from the K750i (not really into black phones) what are the alternatives?
