I had only Nokia's and i thougt it's best cell phones. When i bought w800 i knew very little about it(allmost nothing). Now i'm sure i made correct decision and my next phone will be sonyericsson. :)

best.phone.ever. had some issues with the browser, but downloaded Opera Mini, and it completed the phone. total boss. id say it is THE phone of 06. and yes im more excited than the long awaited n93. SE, you guys rock! -bill and ted guitar thing-

hi,
i m using this phone , i like it very much , but i have one problem from where i can dawnload the games and applications. please help in it.

the phone is great but i have two problems 1- the battery life is quiet pathetic cause when i play music on it the battery does not last long thereafter. 2- the slide at the back which is suppose to activate the camera instantly doesn't do that and i've tried to change the settings but NOTHING!! does anyone feel my Pain???? otherwise tis a cool phone.

what you need to do is downlaod it from SE's website.
www.sonyericsson.com and click you region and follow the links man ;)

altho its latest firmware. it dose not mean it is the best. sometimes bugs happen on the Install of the firmware.. try update again to fix your problem. if this happens again, send it back to SE to be looked at.

you should have gotten a CD. i am unsure why you didnt. did u buy the phone new? from a propper seller?

it depends on how it sells. i have this argument alot with many people. SE will create to make and design new and exciting ne phones, but at the same time stick with its origional roots and keep selling and updating the models they know people like.

hey , which ones better of the two , SE W800 -or- Nokia 6270 , nokia has everything plus symbian os and no joystick! almost similarly priced but it comes with 128 instead of 512 card and talk time is 5 hours as comaperd to SE's 9. so which ones better?

hi, i have this phone and like it very much, as a reply to 'Suvarn' the video recording format is '3gp' but you can play mp4 too.
To record long videos u can do it by selecting 'High quality' from 'shoot mode' at settings of the video..

Hi, just a question about this phone. I have somehow managed to take the predictive text off my messages. I obviously try to hold don the * key to put it back on but it won't work.
Can anyone help me get my predictive text back???

this phone is really great.i love all the features but the camera the most.i have questions that need answering. what is the video format so i convert those on my comp an is there ne way to make the vids longer?? also my joystik fell off,does ne1 noe where i can get a replacement??

yes it can play mp4 and 3gpp files as well depending on your converter.

in moving movie files the phone should be connected to the computer by usb data cable of course or by a card reader/writer.

converted 3gp movies are sent automatically on the video folder on the memory stick otherwise when asked,specify video folder on memory card.as per my experience i just move my movies from my computer to the phone via usb cable and presto!!!it is saved to my memory card on the video folder. if u use card reader/writer, open the removable drive of the phone and open to search for the video folder on the memeory card(not on the DCIM folder)

Hey guys...
I bought w800 last mth,when starting the couple weeks everything seem to b work perfectly but after a mth its problem start to show up.I encounter my w800 sometimes will hang up the call by itself n smtimes will turn into white screen.
And the other things is this w800 im using has already using the latest firmware R1BC002 .
Does anyone out there face the same problems??
