To people that have problems with their battery not being fully charged. im sure there is nothing wrong with ur phone and battery.. just because u charge it for hours and u go check the "phone status" and it still doesnt say 100% doesnt mean its not 100% .. just say ur listening to the radio with the speakers on.. u'll see ur battery meter go down pretty fast.. and once u turn it off.. u'll see ur battery meter go back up .. so it all depend on usage of ur phone.. just look at ur meter.. if its full than its 100% ..even if it say 93% or whatever.. it not a big deal
also its good to let ur battery run all the way down to zero and fully recharge it again once in a while

very nice phone.... got it yesterday... YEA!!!
everything's good about it...only thing i might comment about is the volume of the radio...SO loud, even at the lowest possible volume... >_<
just wondering... when u guys first got your w800i, was the battery totally dead or is it at like 30%??

800 and 810 are technically the same afaik. If you like the joystick more then a 5 way button, get the 800 (also less expensive atm.). There were some complaints about the durability of the w800's joystick though ...

i normally use the charger and dont get maximum capacity with it... my firmware is R1No35..something like dat...

To everybody that cant fully charge their phone:
Are you charging the phone using the USB cable? Or is it because you saw the bar isnt full yet coz i think its normal. If you want to know your phone is fully charged or not, just press the phone information button (zoom button) and see whether the battery has 100% charged or not.

You have the choice to choose N70 or W800. If you dont need 3G and cant use symbian OS, this W800 is for you then. W800 has rich features and beats N70, indeed. And the price is more affordable than N70. So, its really up to you. I'd say W800 is the greatest phone out there for the price and all its awesome features. Dont you like the design? I just cant stop looking at it. Cheers

I bought da w800 recently..chgd it around 3 times now...doesnt charge fully...went to the sony ericsson site, dwnldd the latest firmware, but couldnt install it...wat should i do...Dis battery thing is really irritating..dont get maximum usage...otherwise da phone is cool.

u can visit getjar.com for some applications and hands..i suggest u get the opera mini software,u can browse the internet in your w800 like u are using ur pc.u need to have an internet service though like tzones with tmobile or whatever is available in your area.

to samuel. i think you are dreaming. if u can just read the comparison between nokia n90 and this w800 just second below the picture of this phone on the left side of this column, i can prove you are wrong in your claims about clarity or sharpness. not to mention the subject is n90 and you are claiming about your 6230???video results of w800 might be a bit frustrating but w800 is not a video phone. it is walkman phone. may be it's time for you to wake up.

hey peeps, i just bought the w800i and i cant seem to install the PC suite from the CD. the Disk2phone is alright though.
when i double click on the CD icon, a program will pop up and tell me that it encountered a problem. help would be very much appreciated, thanks.

As with all sony ericsson products this phone lacks the brightness of a nokia screen. With all the improvements done to the latest devices SE can not compete with Nokia. Dont get me wrong i love Sony Ericsson but my 6230 Nokia version 05.70 beats the latest SE color wise and screen wise .
