this phone is great. I know the volume isnt so good but still good camera and mp3 player. It can't use mp3 ringtone because of your provider service locking the phone so it prevents u to use mp3 ringtones. You have to get the unbranded ones to use mp3 ringtones.
The records video quality to w810 is QCIF (176 x 144 pixels) resolution ?
this phone sucks. never get it
volume = very low
u cant set mp3s as ringtones
if you use "AIM" u cant use it on this phone
only Yahoo messenger
volume buttons gets messed up alot
number keys gets stuck alot
u have to be still to take pictures otherwise they get blurred
taking pictures with flash makes everything yellow
- only good thing about this is its music player..
*phone is crap
so where can i get the gps application for the phone from??
also what format do i have to convert videos to before transfering them to my phone
thank you all
Has anyone figured how to hook this fone up to a tv and play the videos in the fone on the television?
This is the best phone that I have ever owned the features on this phone are excellent.
The sound quailty is great the pictures are excellent quailty.
hi. can anyone pls tell me if the rubber cap for the memory card is of the same material as the ones used for the k750 and the w800? (cos those were pretty bad, they became warped and caused the memory card slot to be bulged overtime)
This Fone is really great!!.. it is true that big things come in small packages (like the w810i).. great cam. great sound. the best!
Can Se W810i support AAC sound format?? Why my friends and i try an AAC sound format on the SE W810i, but it say that "Cannot play this song"
Okay, I have had my Sony Ericsson w810 for nearly three weeks now. And I have to say it is the best phone I have ever had. I has everything I could ever want in a phone. As my good friend says to me, "Your camera has a phon e on it"! And it really does, the camera is really good considering the size and function of it.
My only realy complaint is I use it mostly for txt mesageing and well, the buttons are a little too close for me, I have big hand, and I often press more than one key when I am typing too fast of not paying attention.
I recomend this product for anyone, all ages.
thiz fone iz sikkkkkk. It'z brilliant just like wat dat person said underneath me.
hey! i have no problem with the overall performance of my w810i. its great! best phone i bought so far. but my only concern is that my brother has a w700 and if he sets a contact image and that contact/number texts him he gets an image same as what he set it up with. but in w810i if you set a contact image, the image only shows up if the contact/number will call but not with text messages.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY THIS THING SORT OF THING HAPPENS?
HAS ANYONE ENCOUNTERED THIS OR IS IT JUST ME?
IS IT WITH THE SOFTWARE OR W810i DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS KIND OF FEATURE?
i've looked through everything and if anyone knows please tell me!!!
This phone is an excellent piece of work, although lacks in some stuff like photo call, short sms memory, minor fade outs during call (happens seldomnly but not very noticeable and yes, upper buttons are too small and close. But still this is a great choice in terms of features, looks, easy to handle and price. This phone has a problem like sometimes, it doesn't dial a number from the phone book and needs to restart it. and also gets held for some time after the restart, but it can be fixed by upgrading the firmware. mp3 can be used as ring tone, just select the mp3 song, click on MORE -- USE AS -- Ring Tone. I have also found it a tough one, dropped it a couple of time on marble floor but still working without any scracth or problem :D. Battery life depends upon the type of application and usage. Songs playing without headset will drain the battery in less than a couple of hours, but i used its walkman along with the headsets for more than 8 hours. Lots of Java based themes and applications are available on the internet including GPS ones. Even chatting softwares are easily avaiable. Over all a great deal....
Bought this phone a week ago and i'm really happy with it. It combines the best features of the K750i (camera with flash and auto-focus) and W800i (better mp3 and sound handling). I actually considered buying an SE K618i or an N70 (i used to be a Nokia guy, but got fed-up with their exorbitant prices) initially but changed my mind and favored the W810i instead. I'm not into 3G (or smart-phones for that matter; which i find too slow and clunky) anyway. Cellphones dont really make good web-browsing devices or a place to watch videos (I let my PDA handle that). Finally, i love the way it syncs to Outlook without a hitch! Perfect for a person like me who keeps humongous numbers of contacts and notes.
The only fault i found when using the W810i is the lack of a joystick. It took some time for me to adjust, but thats not really a big problem. And at the end of the day, all i really look for in a cellphone is the size, call quality, durability, and storage space.
The W810i is everything i need in a cellphone and more! Buy it!
