@jojokulit - You claim the W810 has 'mediocre resolution' yet you praise the 3250 which has a lower resolution spread over a larger screen which to me would mean a seriousy lousy image.
Hey .. i ve always used a nokia phone... now finally i like this w 810 SE coz its got a fantastic camera. i wanted to know that if SE as stable as a Nokia 6270 ( network, battery) etc etc.
PLease can anyone help me to set-up the e-mail:
Network is: O2 UK
E-mail is: @yahoo.com
I have looked on the O2 website and they don't seen to have any set-up details.
Thanks and please help if you can.......
I experienced same problem with handsfree mode. I had my FM radio on, headset on, auto answer on, with the difference I had SOUND ON...what happened was, while I was listening to the radio, it got cut off, off course, and as I didn't hear any ringtone, didn't realize I received a call!!
@Vince. I'm please someone else has recognised this problem with headset/ autoanswer: you have the choice of EITHER ringtone in the earbud but autoanswer failing to answer OR ringing in the handset and autoanswer working but no ringtone in the earbuds. I'm currently taking this up with SE who so far have taken a weeks worth of emailing to state the bleedin' obvious back to me! Perhaps you could take it up with them also so that we can get the matter sorted in the next software update. Tangoman.
I have a question for this phone: can you listen to music if phone is sweeched off like W800? plz answer
thanks Arj & jojokulit for the info and opinions for W810i...
Im really hoping that price for W810i will drop also in few months like W800.
If your a technology-addict and a music lover, that could be a difficult decision if you will choose N70 or W810i when you have 20K cash in hand here in phils.
I think I go for SE this time ...
walkman+2mp camera+great design for my basic needs nowadays....
Im sure more SE upcoming walkman/smartphone/3G models will be release with more features like W850,W950,P990,etc ....
could somebeody please help me... i recieved my w810i and when i put a telstra card in it, the internet icon remains as MYZOO which is an optus internet thing...is there anyway i can change this?
well, im not really a nokia fan..i prefer samsung over nokia & SE..it's just that it's still not possible for samsung phones to customize their SMS tone..but if il choose a nokia, it has to be a smart phone..i had W550i b4 & nokia 6630..but comparing W810i against Nokia 3250, i wud say P3,000.00 makes d difference..like ive said, normal ppol would rather buy N70 than W810 at the same price..yes, w810 has edge but can u watch tv on it?EDGE is for smartphones..in 3250, u can watch shows from abs-cbn, gma, etc bcoz of EDGE & the smartphone capability of 3250..and w810i has very small screen to browse the net..not to mention the mediocre resolution..but, yes, if u prefer music & camera, W810i is a wiser choice..but if u want a phone that does it all, 3250 is a better choice..
Is it normal for the light to start flashing after a couple of seconds - this is when it is NOT in SOS mode. Even when using it with the camera it blinks and makes taking picture difficult as you have to time the shutter with the flash.
I've read that this might happen on only some phones and that an upgrade of some description fixes it.
Any suggestions please as it's really bugging me???
Does real player for mobiles support stereo sound? i found real player in nokia's 6600 and N-Gage can't play stereo 3gp files. it's the phone or the player which is faulty? if the player is faulty, i wonder why people die for real player in their phones. Think it's the other way, the phone doesn't support stereo.... any idea?
Can you tell me if there is any way when your writing a text that you can insert somebodies mobile number. Probably not explaining this clearly....when I had a nokia you could go to "insert contact" and scroll to the contact in your phone book and attach the number via text message. I prefer this to business cards as its easier for me. Can you do this on the w810i
Can somebody help me in finding some Cool 3D Java games for my W810i.....Looking for some Racing Games...Thanks for your help.
any comments on 'edge' features? my service provider is vodafone. thanks
I just ordered a Samsung E900 from O2 on upgrade over the phone [The girl talked me out of the W810i] ...
.... I think I may have made a mistake - it doesnt have vide and ring at the same time and am not sure about the heat sensitive buttons.
... Any constructive comments - is the E900 better than the W810i????
The battery cover? Are you sure? Coz mine opens and closes smoothly. Make sure that when you close it, the cover lies flat on the unit from the end and slide upward, otherwise, you really wont be able to close and open it properly. It has no backlash and I even dropped my phone and it didnt disengage. It also is inconspicuous as it does not have any protruding latches/buttons.
To answer some stup*d question, of course it has a key lock. All new models have keypad lock. Give me one brand which doesnt.
The battery cover is not properly designed. It is impossible to get it off once the battery is inside. There is no proper grip. Other than that seems like a great phone.
Thanks for your observation. The reason why W810 and 3250 are being pitted against each other is they were both released almost at the same time (in the Philippines, anyway) and were both branded as music phones. The Nokia model you mentioned is not yet released so its pointless to compare them. Aside from the smartphone capability of the 3250, featurewise, everything else is almost the same. I have had a smartphone before (Ngage QD) and aside from the emulator, I found other apps quite useless. I respect your opinion that with the current price, you find the PhP3k difference to be a big factor in choosing the 3250. As for me, a better music player, better camera w/ light, practicality (you can put the phone in your pocket w/ the heaset connected, you can also text easily with it connected), looks and other unique features are well worth the 3k difference. It all boils down to individual preference. =)
