One more thing. The fm transmitter sucked. crappy reception in the car and at home it has to be sitting on the antenna.
Since day one this phone dropped so many calls I had to get rid of it. It was killing my business. Im not knocking it. I think I just got a bad one. But after having the w900i it was a total letdown. I loved it because it is a w900i just a super mini, that didnt work. My question is has anyone had any dropped call issues like this?
i just noticed your post. i bought the D600 and returned it and got this 810i. both of them are nice. just depends on if you like a slider or a bar. if you truly want a music player go with 810i since it can hold 2GB vs. 512MB on D600.
this phone is the freakin bomb. works well in the states.
hi do the SE w810 got the "Stereo Widening" function in the mp3 player like w550 or not and is its loud speaker as good as the one in w550???
@cruz w850's "photos that you saw in the internet are "made in photoshop" 100% k790 with different colour. The next walkman won't be with that desighn for sure! No information about the next W. For now w810 rox despite it's expensive at all(it's normaln for new model;)
ih8viperkid good luck with the future great purchase;)
i just bought this phone earlier, so excited to test its performance, it's a very good phone but one thing i could possibly assure you that when i view some pictures by series when you're in a camera mode, it reads for 2-3 seconds. and when you delete a picture in a 'camera pictures' folder environment in a 'view' mode, you would notice that it's still there when you go back to the thumbnailed photos. maybe the programmer forgot to set a refresh code for it unless you press the 'go back arrow' and re-open the 'camera pictures' folder but all and all it's a very good fone.. i love sony ericsson but i will buy N80 soon hehe..:-)
to carlos it does it says bluetooth then next to it it says what version of bluetooth it uses which is v2 in order to support stereo sound through bluetooth
Hey does any know if this phone supports blue tooth at all?-doesn't say in list of features..
Yes, the fm transmitter will play my MP3 songs onto a FM band in my radio. it works pretty well.
it will also play an incoming call, so it kinda acts like a handsfree speakerphone. clearer than using the built in speaker
Nah, I like the candybar type, not the swivel one. Moving parts tend to loosen after a while. Id stick w/ my W810i.
Hold ur hand to get w810!! There are coming soon New WALKMAN line up w850!! owesome.. Version of K790 but more pretty and sexy in White color 3.2MP camera....@@
I see, thanks sergio. If you have an auxilliary plug in your car radio, you dont need an FM transmitter. You just need an auxilliary cable and you can plug it in like an iPod.
The Fm Transmitter is for listen all you have in your phone like music, sounds the audio of a video but in a Fm Radio like in the car.
did I explain good?
mick from oz
I just got FM Transmitter and it works very good but only if the phone is right next to FM receiver , with in 30 inches reception is perfect .
Mick from Oz:
Why did you buy an FM Transmitter? The W810i has built in FM player already
I looked at getting the FM transmitter for the w810i but all the research indicated that it was a lemon. ie very poor transmitting power and almost unusable. In fact, the common consensus seemed to be that most fm transmitters were pretty iffy in general and the only way to get half decent performance was to have one that was externally powered (ie 12v cigarette lighter adapter)
Subsequently, I looked on ebay and thought I'd take a punt on cheaper one than the expensive Sony one. If it didn't work then I haven't spent too much, but it seemed the sony one was expensive considering the poor reviews.
I bought one that was CE approved for about $25AUD shipped. I am pleasantly surprised at how well it works. I still get the odd interference, but 95% of the time it's clear. (this is with the 12v adapter plugged in), If I just rely on the 2xAAA batteries, then the performance is terrible. It doesn't sound quite as good as normal FM reception and not as good as a CD obviously, but still very listenable.
It doesn't have 3G because it's not a 3G phone. All 3G phones are ugly in my opinion.
As to the FM transmitter question yes you can buy one that plugs into the bottom. It's called the FN Nusic Transmitter MMR-60 but it does say LIMITED MARKET AVAILABILITY.
