is it possible to add programs to this phone (like it is possible with smartphones)??
I have W800i and my sister has W810i. So I will make comparisons here between the 2 models.
Differences between W800i and W810i
1. Networks: W800i is triband but W810i is quadband
2. Edge: Absent in W800i
3. Lens cover: Absent in W810i
4. Internal memory: 34mb for W800i but 20mb for W810i
5. Phone size: W800i is 100 x 46 x 20.5 mm, slightly thicker than W810's 100 x 46 x 19.5 mm
6. EMS: Absent in W810i
7. Talk time: W800i claims to have longer standby and talk time. I can't really feel the difference when using it. So basically, they have the same battery life.
9. Phone book: 500 entries for W800i and 1000 for W810i
10. The obvious ones: W810i's colour and re-designed keys.
Q: Which one should I get/Which one is better?
A: If both phones COST THE SAME or ALMOST cost THE SAME, get W810i. The joystick in W800i is the major gripe to me. Though W810i lacks a camera lens cover, its lens is slightly recessed, making it much less prone to scratching as most people believe to be. And W810i looks cooler than W800i.
However, W810i costs much more than W800i in my area. (Its price is almost doubled) The extra money is not worth the new functions/designs IMO. Unless you are obsessed with W810i and don't mind spending more for it, W800i is a more worthy choice.
it looks like some pretty good photoshop, if it is real that would be so hott
Hey that's just a photoshopped black W810 bro, lol
Anyways, i've been itching for the GSM Arena W810 review.. anyone's got ideas when we can expect this?

If Band E is FOC then I don't think you can get it any cheaper than that...unless there's extras that I don't know about.
to drew do you how much of a discount a band G gets if you do would you mind letting me know.

I was trying for three weeks to get this phone. Every shop from essex to Lancashire had sold out. while passing through London today i spotted a shop by the escalators in Euston station, ran over and asked.. They had one left!.. within 30mins i was the proud owner of a shiny w810i and easter gift bt headset. BOTH FREE OF CHARGE!! Not sure if i was supposed to get the handset free, but weyhay. On O2 Leisure Time ALL. Im band C as my bill is usually around £20-£30. so far, very very plased with it. HIghly recommended phone but so hard to get hold of its untrue!
Thanks for the info, looking at what you provided I'd fall in the Band E category. Though mnight be me being completely ditzy but what does FOC mean?
If your contract started in dec 04 then you will be band A/C/E.
if you avg 6 month spend is 0 - 20pm then your band A
if your avg 6 month spend is 21 - 30pm then your a band C
if your avg spend is 31 to 50pm then your a band E
Band A upg price is £159.99
Band C upg price is £49.99 (£99.99 before discount)
Band E upg price is FOC
for those who had buy this phone.. how much is this phone in the stores?..
so far it hasnt enter the indonesian market yet.. i hope its not much diff with W800, should be quite close..
i cant wait to have one of this nice black SE
the phone is over 2K in ringgit malaysia, it only different in the EDGE & the keypad, why must it be so expense.
I've had this phone for about a week now and have to say that I'm very impressed. Good menu system, great camera and MP3 quality etc.
The only issue I have had with it so far is that when I installed the Sony software onto my PC (Windows XP SP2) it refused to detect the phone was there. However, Windows Explorer was more than happy to see the two additional drive letters (one for the phone memory and one for the memory stick) and to allow drag and drop of pictures and MP3's etc, but the Sony software refused to see that the phone was connected. Not a biggy.
