Been stacked up to the eyeballs with work mate, hadn't had much chance to get online.....
And yeah, I reckon the black of the W810 will help with the screens vibrancy, although I am a bit gutted about the low resolution it kinda lets the W810 down. A 320x240 screen woulda made the w810 a must-have. I'd be defo buying it if the screen res was better cos I don't need the P990 any more cos I've got proper satnav coming soon.......
Gonna wait till it comes out and have a look at one to see if I'm worrying over nothing, but a good screen is really important to me, I've gone from the S700 to the D600 so I'd not want a screen thats worse than either of those......
hey striker m8 nt sin u on ere 4 a few days u k? regardin wot u said den i agree da resolution shud b crispier dan da n70 also bcoz it is blak da brite colour wil stand out evn mor
Apparently, the size difference is quite small - the w800 has 1.8 inch screem, the w810 1.9 inch (posted below by Jedi_Knight)...
From the pics I'd say the W810 screen is a shade smaller than the N70's screen, but the W810's should be crisper because although it is smaller, it has a higher resolution so it should look better.
Is it for real the w810i screen is larger than w880i? what do you think the light of the keypad would be? maybe white? and how larger, i mean is it like N70 NOKIA's screen????
what i hate about the w800 is the orange/white colour & the fact that its not a good looking flip phone like the samsung e730.
the w810 definitely solves the colour issue. black is very cool! And waiting until sony ericsson produce the ultimate flip phone, i will settle for this bar phone. i guess this is their marketing policy, they produce the ultimate bar phone and wait until all cell phone enthusiasts buy it and then release the ultimate full function good lookíng flip phone! smart for them expensive for us.
i will definitely buy this w810 as soon as its released.
@ Dex edge "wot is edge" dis as bein xplained on dis forum b4 by Ken2.5 an Striker, in a nutshel it is a mor advanced 2g network a beta an faster intanet, luk bak @ sum ov da earlier posts on da forum 4 mor indef info bout edge
yes there is a difference. they have removed the awful joystick which gets dirt under it after a week and stops working. Drives me mad!
ya there is another difference in the phone book size w800 is 500x20 field and it is 1000x24 field
1 drawbak 4 dis fone iz dat da batery wun b as gud as da w800 bcoz ov edge, can edge b switched of wen u nt usin it 2 save batery?
Would've been perfect if it had a 240x320 screen. 176x220 is just inadequate for a phone of this calibur.
w810 has a 1.9inch tft display unlike the 1.8inch at w800.
My opinion is that the black colour of e810 is much better than the white colour of w800, and judging by pics i think that w810 has a better keyboard!!!
Be honest...is there difference between the W800 & the W810 apart from EDGE?
this iz a really smart phone. love the intuition of the design and the specs make it a phone thats worth waiting for here in the caribbean
