I tested the crap Nokia 5310 in the shop 2 days ago its SLOWER then my W890i!
W890i is soo much better then those cheapo Nokias!
Does it support MPEG4?/AVI formats?.
Also, The speaker volume is little low compared to Other models.
This phone is generally great! Exactly what I wanted until it started switching itself off at least once a day...so did the second phone I got from my service provider after thinking that it may have been a fault on the first phone. Very disappointing!
I've had this phone for 10months and had no such problems as mentioned. By the way, there's a SE service centre nearby,, get it fix as its still under warranty.... dont cry out like a baby....
i never right reviews but i have to say this is the worst phone i have ever ever owned.
The memory card kept falling out (had to jam it in with a piece of paper)
it stopped ringing & sms tone
the camera is useless - no AF & no flash means unless the lighting is perfect and u have the most steady hands in the world, the pic is just a dark blur
sony insists on using that rediculous connector for adapters & the charger - not much use for protability as it doesnt stay in in ur pocket plus mine broke
the 3g switches off if it doesnt have a perfect signal
the buttons are too small
overall its a slow phone
DO NOT GET IT.
by the way, after only 8 months, i literally snapped my phone in half, on purpose. worst phone in the world, built by sales people.
Very nice designed phone. Listening music&radio, watch videos with high quality. Only camera is less, no flash and sometimes quality is not great. For the rest, W890i is good; a lot of space for contacts (7000!), funny games, Sens Me, Music Mate, stopwatch, timer etc. Menu is very pleasant. Everytime I see my phone, I think it is a good buy ;D
I just got my w890 black yesterday and it's really cool. My current phone is w880 but it just used for two weeks. I rather to pay more to get this phone, the GPS, and sense me is the best!
My friend, you can save power by adjusting the brightness of your fon.Go to settings/display/brightness..adjust.Using auto lock makes your fon safe from accident dialing as well as from interrupting music while playing or listening. If you have an errors or malfunctions try to auto update your set using SE update jst follow the steps.it will recover the latest software of your set....Have fun!
Cool design, light for pocket, perfect sound, user friendly, power saving (up to 4 days on extreme power usage), great camera but no flash :(
i have had this phone for 1 month & it's a great phone... just a bit too thin for me & no flash which is usually a feature on all sony phones so i'm going to try the T700 which is a bit more sexy
Anonymous, 09 Jan 2009how do u adjust the backlight time????i dont think you can it seems like an automatic power save issue that is built into the phone my other sony phones i could adjust the backlight not this one but try seaching in the setting - display that's where it will be
