when I turn on the phone all the icons are missing. The phone doesn't recognize the HPM-80. Navigating through the phone without icons is almost impossible.
I am not trying to discount the phone, but its a being a pain to try and fix it.
After having it for about a month I came into a problem. I don't know what caused it, but I was wondering if there was anyone who had the same problem or even better knows how to fix it.
Well i was really excited when i heard that a sony ericsson w900 was coming out soon but i am dissapointed because firstly when you open the phone it is too big and would look funny in public.
re the monopoloy it wasn't for 3 months just untill 31st jan i work for vodafone in the upgrades department so this info is right
Can anyone use good English to describe the sound quality of W900I. Thanks in Advance.
i will buy this phone definitely...
i tested it yesterday and have to say:
a) superb display
b) good camera
c) many many functions
d) its not big at all
these were the most importants aspects for me...
and in black the phone looks much sexier!
how long should i wait to get the contract costs lower? since when is the phone available?
buy this W900i - are together wit ?
- somemore ???
Well i have had the phone for a month now and i dont miss my k700 at all. The spring mechanism is gorgeous, and the look is amazing. so far i have crammed 440 songs on its 470 mb memory thanks to the software with it, just compress the songs to 32mbps and bingo so where the 100 songs per fone actually means at a highish rate. the camera is great at accepting light. the picture quality is just unbeleivable. the zoom extremely good aswell. compared to the n70 my mate has its much better. (To see my personal gallery of shots with the phone go to http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e122/neosneaker/ )
The quality of the screen is just crazy and the 3D graphics are unbeleivable. Honestly i could rant all day about this phone.
Battery life and charge life is amazing and volume from the speaker on the back is awesome, it can easily fill out a large classroom full of students at my college.
There is only one downside to the fone, and its tiny. the little flashing light on the side of the phone that blinks every 2.5 seconds when not charging is aggravating to say the least at night if you have your phone close to where you sleep)
Pretty simply if you want an awesome phone for not a lot of your cash, this is the one to get. I got mine for £150 ($266.715) plus £20 ($35.562) a month contract and all i have to pay for is my texts ( and at 10p each why should i complain - vodaphone UK).
So for a cheap and amazing phone, this is the one to buy.
you can trust the swivle action on a SE - ive seen pictures of the inside of the testing factory and videos - around the time the S700 came out - they have a robot that just opens and closes the phone over and over...they hammer it...cant see it running out of steam before you change your phone :)
to myhx n vohaul...the s700 has a normal swivel action like the w550..but the w900 has a spring n datz y it swivels into place with jus a little push on the side...and so i think the spring might wear out...i already feel that my w900 swivel action is getting loose...
This is very nice phone i still feel that sony is far far better then other mobile
To myHx, who had concerns about the sturdiness of the swivel mechanism used to open the phone. I own an S700, which was the first SE phone to have a swivel mechanism, and it's exactly 1 year and 5 months old now.
You shouldn't be concerned about the lifetime the mechanism has, because I had the same concerns when I got the S700, but up til now everything is working fine. The buttons all work, the swivel mechanism still functions perfectly (I have noticed no change since when I got it first) and I assume that the W900 will have the same quality.
Going by the S700, I would get this phone immediately if it was time to renew my contract. Sadly, I'll have to wait another 7 months, and I'll have to see what's on offer by that time :)
the w900i is refreshing,,a good crisp screen,,clean pictures and good video and if you dont like the headfones you can use your own 3.5mm h/phones...its not very big but smaller than the sharp 903 i was going for till i saw the price!!!!the buttons light up lucidly and the phone seems so less clostrophobic with its decent sized screen and button configuration..after coming from a big line up of fones and my last two being the s/e k750i nokia 6630 this is a fantastic fone and one of the best ive owned so far..cant give it full marks as there will always be newer stuff all the time but 9.9/10 is what i would give it ,,a superb device
to the person who said the 3 month monopoly ran out today. How can that be? the phone only came out in december, so surely the monopoly runs out in march
this is a great phone, though i hate the way it should be opened to use the #s,it can be ruined in no time (one year at most)
i guess that was the main thing that stopped me from buying this phone.
NOKIA N80 Is about to hit the markits and i think i will go for it as soon as it hit the markits.....N80 is a 3mp camera phone with alot ALOT of things that would take a page to tell what it has........
thanks god i didnt go for this one and i will wait to see those new NOKIAs then make my mind up to pick the BEST!
the sound quality on the speaker is good the only bad thing about the phone is the the headphones they are uncomfortable. it also has a tendency to turn itself off when u close it
