hey thought ill let u no i asked if w960i will ever get uiq3.3 and thats the reply

Hi Colin,

Any question regarding phone upgrades and updates should be directed to the phone manufacturer (Sony Ericsson in your case).
However, you should know that until now, no UIQ-based phone has ever been upgraded to a newer UIQ version by any of the UIQ licensees, and I don't think this will change in a near future.
Firmware (of a same Symbian OS/UIQ version) updates happens regularly, but no OS version upgrade; and this is not specific to UIQ .

@ Revenant

It supposed to be supported by this phone... When SE released the specs, the Real Video and Audio format was stated in the supported formats.
I forgot about the Core Player, thx for reminding me :)

To christos,

No, I don't think you would use all the features that come with this phone, and it would be waste of your money. Most kids your age get something like a Motorola RAZR. For now I think you should go out and buy something like K800.

To martin,

It has walkman player, which I would say is best player out of all the players that come on other smartphones. Good camera for a walkman player. Also I think one of the few main reasons people buy this phone is its looks, and good phone battery, and also some people buy it because it's sony ericsson and they had their phones before and know they good quality that sony ericsson is. I had k750 before this phone and the build quality is great, I dropped that thing so many times, and a few times down a flight of stairs, and it still worked, also that thing beat any phone for it's price and the features you got.

To person below asking about hbh-ds220 headphones,

I haven't gotten the bluetooth headsets with my w960, but some people say that they did. I think since the cost is down of this phone that they are maybe starting to include it with this phone.

To dew,

No, this phone does not have that function as stated before. Yes usually sony ericsson phones have this but this phone is using symbian operating system and they have not made this function, nor sure about the new uiq 3.3, they might have added this function in this version.

To sk,

The default video player in this phone does play mobile youtube, you have to open up ports on your router, don't know which ports, search google for them, but on mine I opened all the ports to the w960.

Now answer to your second question, to record a voice command and set it to a number go to your contacts list, click view on a contact, go to the last tab that has the music icon, press edit, then press on thenumber, it will bring up the voice command where you can then press record and record your command. Now to use it, go to the standby screen, hold the phone to your ear, and press and hold the jog dial, and say your command after the tone.

i just want to ask about one comment i read earlier. you mentioned that you cannot record phone conversations on this phone? which means that everytime you talk to someone, there is no available option that you can click for you to record the specific call? i know its usually available in SE phones, so this one has none? please clarify. thanks
