Anyway, this phone offers exceptional audio performance compared to that of any SE walkman phones out there. Does an excellent job though.

It is deffinatley faster than the W960 b/c that runs on Symbian phones... moreYeah I agree you, in fact the audio quality of this phone is almost the same with the ipods. But for you to know, it can't still overpower the remarkable Iphone & N91 pedigrees which have higher dynamic ranges per test results.

Love this phone. Battery life is terrible, but the multimedia experience more than outweighs this.

I believe there should be asolution to the fm transmitter problem. If anybody knows a way to unlock it or bypass the restriction pls post it here.

thats really stupid IMo why nokia n78 hasnt got such a restriction and u can transmitt your songs through the fm easily but w980 has got this restriction? noone wants and actually cant compete with radio stations or do something wrong with this fm transmitter as far as its domination is not more than 10meter, what did they think to put such a restriction I really don't have any answers for that! Im very pleased with overall performance of my new cellphone but this stupid act has really disappointed me

u can search if ur country allows fm transmitting on the sony website =]

Even fast while playing music if you need to go through your menu system :-)

i was wondering.. if i can have the screen with the date and time everytime i close the phone? instead of pressing the button on the side.
because right now when i close the phone, the external screen goes to the music player straight away.

its either white or orange.
white for normal and radio.
orange for walkman, and it flashes with the music rhythm, but ifu find it annoying, u can disable it =]

It is not as slow as w960. W960 has a different operating system than w980. W980 is reliably fast. About the battery, it stays with me about 3days of moderate to heavy use (music, texting, calls).

Hey, i was thinking of getting this phone.
The thing is i haven't seen it in any shop, so i would have to get it online. Therefor, i need to know: is the keyboard small?(i'm a big guy with big hands :D) is the battery good? is it worth it? i mean all i like is the FM transmitter.
I would be choosing between SW W980 and Nokia 6500 slide, and i haven't made up my mind.
Any help is welcome. :)
