It should be, I guess, cos W960 is symbian OS and W980 not. Also, is it slower than W890i or faster or same cos I am considering buying a W890i too for its light weight and rich functionality. Hope someone can answer these question thoroughly.

i have to use headphones as antena for mine. it's very light and nice fit in pocket. with headphones sounds good. it is slow has some bugs or lag. nice phone

Does anyone actually have this phone who can advise me if the phone has a built in antena or not, meaning i can play radio without using headphones. Lots of people say its does have this feature and others say sony cancelled it

excelent mobile , there is a lite on the left side , when it should be blinking ? in the ( g900 ) it blink when there is a missid call or a new message , but with my w980 it want blink .

iam very confused of which for is better is that the w902 or this w980 because its music specs are the same but when it comes tocamera func. this phone is really stupid! and upon choosing bet the 2 i found out that it is very difficult

everything on this phone is excellent except for its camera, the phones should must have a flas or some sort of autofocus and some other cybershot imaging tools for it to become the most and superior multimedia phone and the phones lacks wifi!

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2008So this phone really has the built in radio antenna, meaning you don't have to plug in the ear... moreyes this has FM transmitter and no need to plug the headphone, you can listen to FM radio without that and also operate all music related functions from the touch sensitive keys on the clam. also it has 3.2 MP camera and 8GB memory.

Back there in Barcelona, the prototypes used to have a built-in antenna that allowed listening to music without plugging in a pair of headphones.
In the end, this feature was ditched, much to our disappointment.

i got my w980 finally! its a great phone. perfect size, not that bulky. great design specially when flip closed, it looks very hot. sound quality are really great, big improvement compared to previous walkman phones. i recommend this to all music lovers!

If this is really true then I will certainly consider buying this phone now. Please, all those who have this phone, will you confirm this for me, i.e., that the retail version has a built-in antenna, and that there's no need to lug in the headphones to listen to the radio?
2nd good feature: FM transmitter - worthwhile consideration to buy this phone too , I guess.

When theres incoming call, does the screen shows the caller's name and no or just the no?

besides, flap is always better than candybar phones when it comes to looks.
and it depends.. u like music? or u like takin excellent shots?
