My friend dropped this phone yesterday about 25ft high. He hurried down the stairs, picked it up, and it seems nothing happened. No damage at all. WoW!!!! Just WoW!!!!
Frdzz...m going to buy xperia active from...homeshop 18..is it giving good eal...help..me...plz..see..it on homeshop18.com..thnx..:)
Rooted ICS with KRsH Kernel v3.0
with SetCPU controlling the cpu-load and a bit of tweaks the phone works pretty good. Had some problems with the sound during calls before adding the custom kernel (dunno what were wrong) but now it seems to works awesome! Battery-life is with setCPU and tweaks about 50% better than stock phone with gingerbread (as shipped with android 2.3) but works way faster.
Just plain awesome
should I be upgrading my Active to ics? and how should I do it? what changes is it different from gingerbread? pls give me everything . I want to see is it worth to be changing to Ics
do NOT upgrade to android 4.x
it consumes your battery life like nobodys business
i repeat do NOT upgrade to 4.x
OldTrain, 28 Jun 2012I've updated my phone yesterday, you should receive the update notification by now :)i updated my active yesterday. everything is OK but ics consumes too much battery.... that's bit disappointing.....

This phone seems pretty decent all to the battery...I'm still thinking about getting one, hopefully Sony or some other aftermarket company hears everyone's cries and releases a bigger better capacity battery.
this is the first time i am so pissed off with Sony. cause my phone sl no is in the update list though i cant update my phone to ICS. feel like use slang :@
AnonD-669, 20 Jun 2012How's the battery life? Does it even last a day with moderate to heavy usage? ThanksMine lasts for 4/6th of the day on moderate to heavy usage.
While the Xperia Go will be coming up soon, I think I will be sticking with my Active for quite some time because it has proved to be really good with attending to my everyday needs. Plus, the Xperia Go will have the same screen resolution as Active. Yes, SAME resolution. Meaning you just get a larger display but the pixels will well be the same. I'll wait for the next next iteration of Xperia Active before I will upgrade I think. That'll probably come in 2013 or 2014.
899d, 10 Jun 2012SONY ACTIVE BATTERY = 1 day ONLY! only 1200mah
MOTOROLA DEFY+ has BATERRY = 4 days ! 1750Mm... moreWhat a lie! I own a Defy+ and the battery never gave me 2 days of usage, but 12-20 h. Medium-high usage makes Defy+ eat the battery in no time: 5 h of usage if download 200-300 Mb of data through 3G.
I want to sell my Defy+ and buy Xperia Active because of its wet fingers tracking technology. I'm sick with Motorola's locked bootloader policy.
yes, the Sony 'go' is out some time after july and will be waterproof and larger
Awesome phone, I had a iphone 3g before this and when they stopped supporting it I decided to go Android. I take it in the pool with the kids, dropped it loads of times, camera is top notch, great panoramic shots and music is good enough for my needs. The screen is small and a bit fiddly, that is a compromise that is worth being able to easily pocket it. I love this phone i can use it one handed pretty much all the time and the battery is fine if you know what your doing i.e. you have installed easy battery saver, although it does require regular charging. I paid 550 SGD for this phone in a sale and recommend it to everyone - Waterproof rugged smart phone for less that 600 is a must have.
