I have installed an anti-theft app for this phone. I have tested it and it works. I have lost a precious phone before that's why I am hesitant over the years to buy very expensive ones.

I have to enable the app as device administrator to be able to lock the phone remotely if ever it's stolen. THen I found out that a thief (with android knowledge) can just disable the app as device admin and deactivate it. Is there a way that it will require a password before it can be deactivated? That way, I would be assured that a thief can never use the device.

Thanks in advance. God bless!!!

Active Fan, 21 Apr 2012You must charge your liveview for 6 hours at least, then you have to download the live view ap... morethanks Active Fan..

since I'm so worried about it, LiveView is one of the many reasons I bought the Active, I brought it to the service center the next day to be checked. Even when it was charged, it could not be turned on. The light is still red. Since it was barely 2 days old from purchase, they told me to return it to the store where I bought it to have it replaced. So I went to store where I bought it and they replaced it with a new one. Surprisingly, one of the sales staff was able to turn it(the defective unit) on but it only showed the Sony Ericsson logo (just up to there). They said it hanged. And it could not be turned off again.

I really like the idea of LiveView. But I really found it hard to go around it. It took awhile before it registers what I wanted it to do. Hope Sony will improve this. It's irritating sometimes. :)

I own Xperia Active and I like the looks, dimensions and performance...display is stunning and I like automatic light sensor which reduces screen lightness. Display is so easy to do things and it is not even to small for typing (i do it while is landscape position). Only thing that i do not like is back cover which when I use with strip around the hand sometimes in the left down corner creaks a bit. Do anyone have same problem? I have orange one with black cover.

Geetesh, 19 Apr 2012@jean: Must have games: Where is my water, Cut the rope, cut the rope experiments, temple run... morethank you Geetesh... I will keep those in mind.. actually, I already stumbled upon Temple Run and downloaded it already..

now, I have a problem. The unit came with a LiveView, also one of the reasons I bought the Active.. When I bought it, I was told to charge it first so it was not demoed to me. I don't have the time also to stay long at the mall. When I got home, I charged it for about 2 hours until the light turned green. I have read in the manual 2 hours would be the approximate time for charging it. I followed the instructions in the manual on the pairing it with my Xperia Active. I got it paired. But when I was about to install, I was not able to proceed since I don't have internet connection in my phone. I decided to continue it the next day. I turned off the LiveView. The next day I went to the mall to make a connection between them. I turned on the LiveView. It turned on. It showed the Sony Ericsson logo but it is just up to there. The screen is just showing the SE logo. So I asked help from a SE store. They told me that it needs to be charged. I have used it for less than an hour last night and maybe another 4 hours when I tried to make the connection. When I got home, I charged it again. The light is red until now. It's nearly 4 hours and it's still red. What happened to it? I'm worried..

I even bought a router today so I can enjoy exploring the active even when I'm home.
Thank you to anyone who can help me regarding this.
