Is Xperia Active fully IP67 certified? Earlier it was clearly mentioned on GSM ARENA & SONY ERICSSON sites as being IP67 certified. Now it's only mentioned dust & water resistant! If it is really certified, then why hide one of the USP? How will we know if SE doesn't put it that way???
Morten, 13 Sep 2011Big phone, small screen Power consuming CPU, small battery I'd take a Motorola DEFY or DEF... moreactive is ultimately better than defy+ and there is no doubt that u r a Motorola fan coz u like defy/defy+ even after knowing xperia active is better. u r seeing the negatives, not the positives which is a long long list.the battery of active can be changed to 1800mAh.
You forget the main selling point that the Xperia Active has over its rivals, and that's the Ant+ technology. Something I'm eager to try out paired with a set of Jabra Sport wireless earphones.

I'd take a Motorola DEFY or DEFY+ over this any time.
how about the speaker?, is it also water resistant?,,
and how would the sound come out?
I am a gr8 SE fan & eagerly awaiting Xperia active. Wish it was a bit taller than its present 92mm height.
expected release ws sept 9...
when is this phone gonna release?????????
mac, 29 Aug 2011hope the battery is also active as the phone. . .
hope that this guy is not like it's relativ... moreyou can count on the qualcomm snapdragon msm8255 to drain the battery faster than you can think :D
in other handset like htc trophy it will barely last one day even with an optimized OS like wp7.
but in the combo with android and active multitask i think it will hardly survive 10 hours.
@fade. water resist is different from water proof, dont make it like the same thing.
water resist mean the device can still hold up long enough to resist the water coming in to it for a certain of time, mostly up to 30 menit in 1 meter water deep.
