X_arc, 22 Sep 2011hi guys.... i have been using xperia arc since a week. i have a problem with wireless settings... morewell,I don't quite understand ur problem.is the wi-fi network password protected?then u have to get the password to use the network.or,u can't find the network?in that case,go to the WiFi settings, add WiFi network, then write down the ip no/name of the network in the network ssid checkbox, keep the security open & save it.now try to connect the network & see if it works.....
all friends, iam saying hundred percent my on experience on thousand percent reality and honestly basis.i have checked 3 top mobiles.arc,s2 and iphone4.in few days before im the huge fan of SE but when i read the reviews and articles at different websites,i becum the fan and very much impressed by samsung,so i decided to check of all 3.1stly i talk about xperia arc and s2.at 1st look arc look like luxry, stylish and premium material but samsung s2 feel so much ugly ,stupipd design and very cheap material like china mobiles.2ndly i compare the secreen display quality, belive me friends there is no cmparision btw arc and s2.arc secreen is amazing ,a truely natural colores with amazing sharpness and s2 colors are unnatural ,oversaturated,no match with reality, camera dif btwn them is not huge, arc has better camera,,i did not go in processor, ram, speed etc, iphone has higher pixel density but has dull colors as compared to arc..so i wonder how people bought the samsung, ist mind game, sony is only for stylish and luxery people..
Guyz xperia arc is an awesome cell, features r to good, i personally using the same cell, i dint faced any problem still yet.

helpme!!, 21 Sep 2011please guyz help me through this!!! Should i buy Xperia Arc or Motorola Atrix 4G . 1. i ... moreif you want a long batter life, go for atrix, and avoid xperia arc!!! xperia drains within a day. atrix's ram and processor is way better than arc. arc gets too hot if used for a long time, also freezes.
ustu, 21 Sep 2011oh yeah?hell....I didn't know that!!!!but, ain't the EISA(European Imaging & Sound Associa... moreThe EISA(European Imaging & Sound Association) award ONLY goes to new phones of the year, not past phones. That means new phones for 2011 ONLY. Nokia N8 is the 2010 camera/phone of the year. Nokia N8 camera/video is superior to the SE ARC. Don’t be foolish and argue that. But, I am not saying that the N8 is a good phone as it is well known to have many problems.
EISA Best new phone for 2011 is Samsung Galaxy2. Samsung also won best new phone in 2010. You are really showing your lack of knowledge here. Please read everything carefully or perhaps your English is bad.
Why are you bashing Samsung here ?? The true facts are that the Arc has terrible battery life also. In fact all Android phones have terrible battery life.
As for the Super Amoled screen, you are just a SE fan and you would argue a SE black and white screen is better. Noting compares with Super Amoled. Any review in the world says that. So, please stop your nonsense chatter and let the real knowledge people write here.

It depends what you want, vivid or realistic...

perfectly accurate , but are more than good

chad, 20 Sep 2011Also i have another 2 problems:
First one is wireless signal is too much low and internet spe... moreIMHO :
a) Wireless signal is dependent on network provider or your distance from coverage area.
b) Data speed depends on the type of data plan you subscribe to - unlimited? limited? 1G? 2G?
c) Clarity of speakerphone depends on where you are when you use it - spacious area? enclosed area?
Yennie0512, 21 Sep 2011anyone can give me some opinion?
i think to buy this phone, now i'm using Nokia N8.
but i so... moreEveryone would like a phone to contain every specs found in all other phones combined. Not very possible.
To maximize video call function :
a) you need your circle of friends to have phones with this function too - many? few?
b) how many people actually always video call with you?
- many? few?
c) how often do you need to video call? everyday? once/twice a week? once/twice a month? always? seldom?
Question is how much do you depend on this function?
If you can't live without it - forget the arc (from other posts, i understand that you can do so via skype)
If after much thought you think that it's not a big deal- plus you still like the specs - what are you waiting for >> go for it - and be happy! :)
Chad, 20 Sep 2011Hi All..
I bought my Arc since one week and i am experiencing the following problems:
1: B... more1. Battery life is dependent on chosen settings & usage. Check :
a) Display - brighter screen drains more battery.
b) Do not auto-update, auto-sync.Do so manually.
c) Disable background data to extend battery life.
d) Set screen timeout delay to your best minimum - the longer it takes for screen to automatically turn off, the more battery it consumes.
2) Check the box to set date & time automatically - using network provided values.
Hope the above works for you. :)

[deleted post]I'm in this forum from the very beginning and I'm familiar with phoenix and se2010.I can honestly testify that phoenix has never lied anything in this forum, afaik.and I can remember that u've announced urself as former se2010,now se2011.I can also remember that the real se2010 was a die hard fan of SE.so when u praised Samsung galaxy s2,I understood that u r a fake one.& today,I'm damn sure that u r really fake, thats why u r bashing the arc.so disappointing......I hope the real se2010 could know this & reclaim his/her place.....pls,use ur real name, don't take others & post some constructive information that helps the people....off course u r free to post anything u like, but pls, don't misuse ur freedom......guide the people around....not misguide them
