I had this phone and its very great one thing I observe is that i think the os has some kind of bugs where in the phone goes hang. the worst case i experienced is i changed the wallpaper but the screen goes black. phone restarted and boom the phone goes on freeze state. i tried the arc reset seen on net but its not workint (left + right button then turn on)...
my arc fell on the flor and glass brake down. The lcd works fine and it is undamaged, also the touch control. On the service they told me that they can change only glass with display together and it is not very chip. Is this true because i don't belive them. please help
well, just a question, after the latest update, the home screen doesn't totate to landscape mode, is it supposed to be this way? bcoz timescape and even phone dialer both are rotating ... so why not the home screen?
You'd better go with SGSII. it's better at almost all aspect (except the camera). it's about 2 or 3 times faster than this phone. I've bought this phone about 2 1/2 months ago, and GSII about 2 weeks ago. but i would say, that GSII is the best phone right now.

Hello my old friends here. I am back and now using the current year 2011 in my nickname.
I am still using my old SE X2, but considering an upgrade. Although the Samsung Galaxy 2 is very impressive.
Yanish, 14 Sep 2011Sony makes really good phones. One thing i dont understand people who has never used a Sony won... moreI agree with you. Xperia Arc is a big upgrade compare to Xperia X10 that I used before. Arc's Reality Display is truly unmatched of its clarity. The Bravia Engine really enhances to make the colours more vivid, sharp and natural. I am using iPhone-4 also but I find Arc's Reality Display more vivid than the Retina Display of iPhone-4 despite its screen size of 3.5" only. But iPhone 4 is topnotch under sunlight visibility and I agree let the iPhone alone in this category. The Exmor-R lense of Xperia Arc is just awesome and the HD video recording is fantasic. My friend got Galaxy SII but he is convinced that screen colour of Arc's Reality Display is better that the Galaxy SII because he said SII is over saturated colour. My friend also admired the speaker of Xperia Arc because it's loud and very clear plus the User Interface of Arc and its social networking capabilities. My friend now is now planning to buy the new Xperia Arc S once available and sold his Galaxy SII.
lavi, 14 Sep 2011hi....guys.I like to buy this product, hence, please suggest me, its good or bad..? --Take care--Good... Really good...
I've had this phone for a few months. Yes, it does fel a bit fragile because of how thin it is, but I can get used to that.
The battery life can be solved with some tweaks. I still only get max 2 days with moderate useage, but that's alright with me.
My biggest beef with this phone is the lag! I'm not sure if it's the phone or the software or what, but every application stops responding at some point or another. I hope it's just user malfunction because I really like the phone!
Arc getting too hot while playing game, making call.... can anyone suggest me how to cool it... is all arc phone getting hot like mine....?
The Arc is a good smartphone overall.
It's worth a buy for,
But personally, I think its internal storage is kinda low...
It not enough for me to stuff in all my files.

I owned the x 10 it was a horrible experience
Sony makes really good phones. One thing i dont understand people who has never used a Sony wont even know what is this..We talk about performance and Quality..I would recomend the phone to anyone..With its reality display and that exmor sensor..Wow..Go for it..Sony Rocks..
I have the X12 Arc and the Galaxy S2.
The Arc is unquestionably the superior device.
- Vastly superior screen :
-- Higher pixel density, so smoother and sharper
-- Natural colours
-- More sensitive touch response and accuracy
-- High resolution renders webpages clear and beautiful
- Excellent buttoning - the Samsung really fails here, both on lame home button and the tedious touch buttons.
- Beautiful design, the Arc is an objective of desire and delight that looks like it was designed by a human.
The S2 is pedestrian and undesigned as it's possible to get ... it's little short of ugly.
- Stunning media performance. For my money, the Arc is THE best media player full stop ... and that includes my beloved iPhone 4. Creamy smooth and a total deal-maker.
The Galaxy is choppy, low-res looking and in no way designed around media rendition.
- In conclusion : I bought the Arc because I was disappointed with the Galaxy S2.
The Arc experience has done something I would never have imagined possible in a million years ... it's made me like Android! And that is quite a feat - and a fitting accolade to what is without any shadow of a doubt, the best Android phone on the market today.
