jay7869, 23 Jul 2011I still cant find why these SE people are not providing secondary camera for all the high end ... moreI read somewhere on FB that the reason they didn't put the front camera is that they would have had to give up on the design of the phone.

i like that there is no front camera , it makes the phone look nicer

battery is at 50percent at the end of the day with heavy usage.
I still cant find why these SE people are not providing secondary camera for all the high end phones......unlike nokia.

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2011I have to agree with you there jayx10,,i find myself always getting abuse when i help but its ... moreas already mentioned, dont discharge the battery completely, it destroys the cells!
i have just got the arc and i have put on music on it and not all my music is coming up and playing as some music has a orange and white cone witch is wma
Hi, just wanted to make an update since my last post. I went to my boyfriend's place and tried to connect there, and it worked immediately. We have different routers, I have Siemens Gigaset sx763. So it was kind of a relief. I also tried connecting with my Sony Walkman NWZ-x1050 here at my place, and it wouldn't connect either.
In reply to this:
"I had this before! Just do a factory reset, then switch the phone off, take the battery out for at least 1 hour. it should then connect."
Didn't try taking the battery out, but did the factory reset a few times.
I'm pretty satisfied with the phone, except that I cannot connect through WiFi when I'm home. Also, I don't have the access to router and can't do anything. Will try talk my dad into trying to fix it somehow, though.
jayx10, 22 Jul 2011Btw with advanced task killer, you can deselect certain applications to allow them to run in t... moreYeah, but when I deselected the processes I wanted to keep running, there was hardly anything left to kill. I didn't want to kill any of the default system services and so I kept them running coz I didn't know what they were for. So, in the end I didn't gain anything by using advanced task killer. But I still think it is a very good app.
Anonymous, 22 Jul 2011I have to agree with you there jayx10,,i find myself always getting abuse when i help but its ... morehey dude!u r in some kind of serious misunderstanding about ''discharging'' the battery.u mentioned that u fully discharge ur bettery for 10 times.well, never ever do that again, dude!the batteries we r using in our cell, are Li-Po kind, which is lithium polymer.every time u fully discharge it,u shortened its life span.but yes,if it was nickel based i.e. NiMH or NiCd,then u have to discharge it fully after somedays to avoid the ''memory effect'' for NiMh & ''voltage depression'' for NiCd.so,the full discharge thing is applicable only for nickel base, not for lithium base.clear now?
jayx10, 22 Jul 2011Btw with advanced task killer, you can deselect certain applications to allow them to run in t... moreI have to agree with you there jayx10,,i find myself always getting abuse when i help but its because the normal person on the street does not know how to use these smartfones...Its not their fault tho these things are complex to the point where they dont even give you a manual there that big...
I know the majority of people buy a smartfone and leave it on original settings,,they dont even change profiles ringtones or screen brightness or know that it is in HSDPA mode and all that is killing battery.
I cut screen brightness to as minimum as possible and ignore auto brightnes it uses more power than it saves in THe MAJORITY of cases of the people on the street..Bluetooth off after use ,,use 2g all the time unless needed,,even screen vibrations called haptics and screen bleeps always use up your battery..I set backlight to 30 seconds..
Now the majority pile out the fone shop give it a charge and thats it ,whatever settings are on the device thats how they stay to the majority of normal people..Us geeks know all the tricks and tips but how can the normal person on the street be expected to know all this.I give my first charge of 12hrs then complete discharge/recycle 10 times at beggining of fone use...
These people need extra help but who is responsible tho ???
Ajmal Basheer, 22 Jul 2011You're welcome Abby...I do not have any issues with camera and pics hanging so much... Discuss that also with the service center...
