AnonD-12606, 02 Jul 2011The screen is good on the Arc, but nothing compares to Super Amoled or a Super Amoled Plus scr... moreInitially yes. Ppl will be happy with the screen resolution, but after a week or two , ppl don't bother because they don't stare at the screen doing nothing. They will do what they want and the phone end up in the pocket or palm and away from the viewing.
So what the is the point of buying phone for the screen ?..
.....human nature always praise what is good and new.....but just a while
AnonD-12606, 03 Jul 2011This is just another pretty looking phone from SE. Its aimed at younger people.

as for the screen well it seems your so stuck in reviews that you don't know what is real... and of course billy boy super amoled is better but it dosen't matter coz who want to look into a mobile screen in low angle in real life...
man please to every sammy fanboy get a life, go to your forum and fix your SGS2 issues, don't brag about a super phone that is significantly no better than another one... Arc is better in performance (till date no need to a dual core), per price, per quality, per use, per look than any other phone...
There is no comparison between arc & s2, super amoled plus gives you an artificial colour & arc's bravia mobile engine gives you life like picture quality dont compare them......
how come my xperia arc only has a total of 350mb worth of ram? anybody encountered this? it says here ram should be 512 =/
This is just another pretty looking phone from SE. Its aimed at younger people.
Just a bigger version of the X10 with HDMI. So, its already a failure. Sorry SE, you have failed again.
Still using an outdated LCD screen.
Performance is only average when compared to the latest smart phones. Phones had 1gig cpu in 2009.
Battery life is still bad like the X10 or all Android phones.
Only has an old technolgy LCD screen. Just look at the comparison by gsmarena. The Super Amoled Plus on the Galaxy 2 totally destroys the pathetic old LCD screen.
No front/secondary camera.
No hot swap memory card, No hot swap sim card.

AnonD-12606, 02 Jul 2011The screen is good on the Arc, but nothing compares to Super Amoled or a Super Amoled Plus scr... moreas i have said, get an Arc & a unit with SA or SA+ like SGS or SGS2 and compare them both in actual use.
what you read does not necessarily applies with actual user experience. SGS & SGS2 battery drains faster than ARC's. it may be true that SA & SA+ consumes less power but what i'm trying to say is, upon using this screen technology to smartphones, SE ARC's implementation of LCD technology ourperforms SGS/SGS2's SA/SA+ implementation when it comes to battery life.
this is something you won't understand with reading alone even if it's written all over the pages of every pages of every website in the internet.
how many people use and how often do people use front cameras. most times we hold our phones to our ears when making calls. so quite yapping about arc not having a front camera.
AnonD-12606, 02 Jul 2011The screen is good on the Arc, but nothing compares to Super Amoled or a Super Amoled Plus scr... moreYes you are right nothing compares with Samsung Super Amoled screens.
Nothings else on the market is as useless as they are.
Too much contrast and too little resolution, problems with reliability and what's up with such high viewing angles? Much of the time my preoccupation is not that viewing angle is too little, but that it is too high! Don't remember any situation were the angle on my Arc was too little to use but I remember a lot of occasions were it was to wide and that I don't really want the people next to me to see my screen. Little privacy, please!
And what about colour rendition on super amoled? The Arc and Iphone are just PERFECT!
bought my arc 2 days ago in manila. comes with 16gb micro sd. i bought it with gingerbread 2.3.3 already installed. facebook integration is great!
i am not into the dual-cores. i value functionality over processor-speed. anyways, it is already fast even with a single-core.
i bought this because i'm a heavy facebook user. thumbs up to SE for the "Facebook Inside Xperia" feature!
Anonymous, 02 Jul 2011use one so that you'll know the difference. i speak as an experienced user.
i'm not as good... moreThe screen is good on the Arc, but nothing compares to Super Amoled or a Super Amoled Plus screen. Plus all Amoled screens consume less power.
U can read this all over the internet. Its a fact, not an opinion. Gsmarena has done several tests and comparasions.
For me personally a mobile phone is all about the best available screen quality with good battery life. Having the best screen quality really enchances the users pleasure.
AnonD-5216, 02 Jul 2011Amoled consumes less power than normal LCD screens. Please do your research before writing rub... moreuse one so that you'll know the difference. i speak as an experienced user.
i'm not as good as you in reading brochures & spec sheet but i think actual user experience tells everything rather than just comparing spec sheets.
