The design is r... moreNice review! Finally a non-biased opinion! I personally like SE but I also understand that SE has its flaws.
I have been using this phone for 3 months too. In general I do like it but I am already bored with it and would love to go to the next... but must wait I suppose.
I also think the design is stunning and also one of the main reasons that I got this phone.
The phone performance has been very good but for my usage the battery just lasts around 15 hours, but that is with intense whatsapping, mobile interneting, many apps running in the background and also continuous link with my bluetooth headset. Wished it would last a bit longer but I just scrape through the day.
Android 2.3 is lovely but FB inside Xperia may be just a bit too much for the specs of the phone. Syncing the entire FB gallery into the phone gallery, status updates and friend's photos does seem to lag the phone a bit.
Mobile Bravia Engine is amazing with great brightness and colours. The pictures also look perfectly fine on PCs. What I like about the camera is the good auto-focus. When trying to take a photo extremely close up, the camera automatically goes into macro mode. Tested with a Gal S2 but was no where close to the equivalent quality.
I do believe the phone may could have gotten better with a bigger processor or dual-core. The more intense usage the more the phone needs to "think"...
All in all, very happy with the arc but would not say "no" to the next generation (perhaps just cause I am demanding... :))
Anonymous, 21 Jun 2011the consequence of samsung 'fans' around here is the overheating issues over sgs 2. Dual-core ... moreHaha... The first few times I read it I didn't understand what you meant. Then only I noticed the quotes on 'fans'. Great one pal!!!!
the consequence of samsung 'fans' around here is the overheating issues over sgs 2. Dual-core cpu surely needs more fan to remove the hot air and keeping it cool. :)

Jace, 19 Jun 2011Hi does anybody know how to reformat the SD card with the device itself? Help will be appreciated =)Hi Jace,
Go to Settings>Storage>Umount SD Card. Then the Erase SD Card option will be highlighted. Use it to format the card.
hey guys sony ericsson dual core phone is coming.......................yahoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ....sony ericsson xperia duo..........
[deleted post]i bet it doesnt perform as well as the SGSII.
it will probably use a snapdragon proccessor of some kind. remember, both the LG optimus 2x + the HTC sensation cannot match the SGSII
ustu, 18 Jun 2011yo,abhi,ajmal bashir,cell,where r u guys?missing u guys!its really a pleasure to see u guys ar... moreHey ustu,
Happy to know people are missing me... I was busy with office work and also my phone is working perfectly. No concerns came up, that's why I am not posting anything here. But I was reading all comments whenever I got time. And regarding the Samsung fans, I gave up that fight. I don't care what they say. Let them blabber what they want. We know how good SE is. I am really enjoying the fact that they are desparately trying to convince people that Samsung is better than SE but to no gain. Samsung fans... You chose the wrong place to try your luck... LOL!!!
this is my first phone that attracts people attention when i hold it in my hand
really nice phone!
sleek light and beautiful and is really comfortable in hand
display is out of this world!i compare reality display of arc with super amoled display of sgs and i should tell you that arc's display is even more crisper with really accurate color rendering
this phone is really really fast with no lag at all(when i compare this with last year x10 i should say i dont know what SE has done in less than a year!massive improvement over x10
camera is really good:really shocked with sensor quality of this phone
Anonymous, 21 Jun 2011Even half core Sony is still the best ha ha ha This is how fanboys answer, anyway the nice thing on SE phones is the same boring X10 design but the specs are outdated.
Phoenix, 20 Jun 2011lol good question! :PHello! Fire Bird nice to see read u again. SE's fans said that single core perform like Dual Core because Gingerbread is not optimazed for Dual Core? But here Ice Creem is coming and it does use both cores. Don't u think that Moto, HTC, Samsung, LG will have enough Dual Core in the market and take advantage on the upcoming SE Dual Core phone? While Moto upcoming phone are Quad Core phones and Table "Xoom 2", "Moto Jet and Bullet"
Abadi, 20 Jun 2011Hello Droid Terminator how r u? can you please tell me what's the core?I'm Droid Terminator if u wanna learn about Visual Basic Applications or VB.net and Data Base just look for me if u don't mind. And in a simple way to let you know what the Core stand for, Core stand for "processor". So, we have Hex Processor, Quad Processor, Dual Processor ... On PC but Table and Phone will soon be able to carry the Quad Core "Xoom 2" and "Moto Jet and Bullet" Okay then ask me about a Chip? Or what the use of a Dual Core in a phone? Moto Tegra 3 is coming ...
samsung moto never lasts more than 1 0r 1.5 years...no use of them...and look at their UI...sony's UI is surely most beautiful UI in the market yet...and those who are talking about dual-core...may be you guys dont just hava a pc...XD
this is the most capable single core phone by sure and you will see the most capable dual core phone in near future!
I like the bravia engine display, the blacks are the closest( considering the other displays) to that of the sa.moled from Samsung.
nick, 20 Jun 2011all you sony ericsson weirdos have been banging on about how great the single-core proccessor ... moreyour reasoning is way too S----D! none of your statement justifies your claims.
we Arc users just defended all your bashing on Arc for it being a single core and is bad as what you claim. if you really like SGS2 for being a dual core, then i suppose you might like xperia duo when it comes? hmmm.... i wonder.
