[deleted post]Yes, we value our money, that's why we bought a phone that fit well into our hand and can be easily hold with single hand. Arc did a good job on this, sgs2 have lousy shape and easily fall from my hand. I don't want hundred pounds of stuff easily fall from my hand though.
Hi just want to ask a few question about Xperia Arc:
1. I'm wondering is this phone support Swype input ?? I like this feature so much.
2. Can this phone do "Call Recording" (conversation recording) ??
3. How about "Answering Machine" ??
AnonD-5131, 27 May 2011No I m not from India.I m from Singapore.....spore? u get the 2.3.3 from HK-based? Spore version seem no otu yet leh..
[deleted post]Well, even the issues from previous version of phones also got evolve into this version. Greate job!!!!
any1 updated their xperia arc ? if does can xplain here with more details with each step to do so? i`ve downloaded the sftware from SE but litle scared to try on my phone..
AnonD-550, 29 May 2011well i said outdated to dualcore cause its not yet primordial , a must have, we are persons no... morewell under any condition you cannot say that dual cores are outdated, like I said it is wrong language ,
OK lets take tghe example other way, when honeycomb comes , just think that it cannot be run on ARC due its hardware limitations, So do you say that honeycomb cannot be run on ARC because it is outdated? No NO NO
hope that will let you understand where you are wrong
outdated refers to older ones, it does not matter with condition of the new one, Dual core is the new, single core is old, it can be called outdated, dual core are on the market, not prototypes, get it,
another way I can also say the OS is also outdated for the new Dual processor,
Well we can't all be tech geek, but please write with common sense,
AnonD-272, 29 May 2011You say phones get wasted after 2 years, I wonder why SE is giving a life support for custome... morewell i said outdated to dualcore cause its not yet primordial , a must have, we are persons not teechie geek nerds, we browse the web and take pictures we text and call , watch you tube videos check fakebook and so, thats the meaning of a smart phone , my x10 do so and much more, but even had not scratches and the paint is like new it has a year old, but I want to replace with somethink like quality.... arc is my best option if is as good as the x10 i want it
[deleted post]and how is the galaxy s better than arc? is it the camera, the processor or the design of gs you find better? i know - you'll probably say the super amoled screen, right? arc's display is sharper - and a lot of indepandent reviews agree.
[deleted post]wow!nick actually accepts the sgs2 has problems!seems samsung fanboys have so many complaints that they have to use forums other than samsung's to vent their frustration! nick you're welcome to your opinion about the sgs2 being better equipped than the arc - even i agree. but you should respect other people's preference for phones they like and use - why should everyone buy a phone you think is best?
[deleted post]on the contrary samsung is advertising their galaxy tab cell but not the new one... still SE no AD at all, but theire product are selling coz of design and that people need here some quality product, so every1 will buy an iphone, Nokia, HTC or SE... i was driven to arc by the look and android (my first android)... and yes your right samsung arn't good they looks like iphone replica, and since we are classy people samsung should consider design to us... so i'll stick to arc... very nice phone
[deleted post]here in the middle east we don't care about samsung, coz no one get samsung, some of the nerds are talking that a new samsung that have a lot of features is to be released, but what they really have in stock to sell is iphone, bb, SE & HTC as for Samsung & LG are considered as middle class, the arc is pretty nice and beautiful, HTC is very good, Apple is top notch... a phone with huge power and stuff for not to be used is useless (iphone dosen't have Radio nor a super amoled screen nor 4.3" is expensive than SGS2 and still no mobile shop will compare it to galaxy S instead they will state the HTC and arc...) samsung don't treat middle east market as their priority, and also SE who don't even bother to launch ads for their product ... weird
Bravia screen, excelent, good camera sensor and autofocus with 8 mpix, very good, 1ghz cpu and gingerbread good too, BUT...
it's a shame that a hardware like that lacks of xenon flash. If sony has something to offer is the best camera phone in town. At least a decent player in that arena. Led flash is garbage against xenon. Is useful as a very very very expensive and portable flashlight.
Why sony, why?
AnonD-550, 29 May 2011im not a fool, i know what is outdated, dualcore apps are not here yet .so you talking about f... moreYou say phones get wasted after 2 years,
I wonder why SE is giving a life support for customers if the phones are getting wasted after 2 years, so according to you it is just an marketing point, life time support is useless, So you mean SE phones can only be used for 2 years only, which means SE are not durable?
Any body tried any video player which plays all kinds of formats....like mkv..in arc.pls anybody..I am confused between this and samsung wave2..apart from OS..
AnonD-550, 29 May 2011im not a fool, i know what is outdated, dualcore apps are not here yet .so you talking about f... moreyes you English seems poor as you say,
because means of outdated outdated refers to " old ".
Dual core processor is newest, sinlge cores like Xperia ARC processor is old,
that means ARC is using outdated processor ,
On the other hand it seems that you don;t know that Applets do not decide to use both dual cores on a dual core not, it is the OS that decides it, NOT applets,
According to the latest news, it was confirmed that the latest update to Android, which is the version 2.3 Gingerbread, would not have full compatibility with the latest Dual-Core processors.
It is not fully compatible but it works up to some extent which mean still it is better than a single core, with future updates single core won't have a chance at all,
