My friends with Nokia 5XXX express music were concerned when I bout my Arc because they thought it would break and Nokia told them that theres Xpress Music screen used to break down beacause of being put on their pockets and «I would see mine would surely break even faster as it was thinner».
Guess what? It didn't. It DOESN'T! Very toughly built just this weekend as I was feverish it feel on me twice, it as also fallen on the pavement and always just as new.
I guess as it is thinner it actually gets less pressure and is less subject to torsion while on the pocket and so it resist even more.
Tough little phone (well, not that little if I may say but it does fit very nicely on your pocket, surprisingly good if I may say).
ohh i almost forgot, the baseband is new .77 the signal for calls is more stable the radio(wifi) is a little bit stronger, same old kernel thats all, really apreciatte sony work with this update fix

New ICS firmware (4.1.B.0.587) certified for six 2011 Xperia phones
this is available now.........am updating my Arc now...........am from India.........
After updated to ICS before some 10-15 days, one thing i noticed is that battery life is very very much improoved, if I charge it to 100% in the morning 9:00, it is not going below 15% till i reach home at 10:00 or something, this is very good for me as I am a very heavy user of making calls (2G), though I practice some tips to save the battery like turning off data connection whenever not required, keeping brighness to 25%, no any task killers etc.
my sony xperia arc is changing its time automatically even though the authomatic network provided values is disabled... i always change time and most often i dont wake up in the alarm i set coz the phone time is changed... how can i solve ds 1?
Hi All, can you tell me what countries still havent got an ICS update for Xperia Arc yet? I'm waiting like forever for this.
Doesn't this have full IrDA ?
I remember reading the press release that said bot the japanese and US versions would be released with fully working EDR IrDA (infrared) with gate
What do you think about colors? silver or blue? I think silver is more practical and scratch is not as visible as on a blue Xperia arc, but blue is more beautiful
do you think Jelly Bean will work much better than ICS in our 2011 xperia handsets?.......i read some posts which says Jelly Bean more stable than ICS on Xperia Arc ........please give your suggestions........
