World's 1st b... moreHere is my summary/view for mobile phones in 2011. Please say what you think.
Japan has awesome cutting edge mobile phone technology, but its locked into Japan.
LG, Moto and Samsung are all battling it out with new cutting edge 2011 technology, such as dual cores,3D, faster cpu etc, etc. This is all great for the end user and will increase sales and profits. But it also causes new problems and may take 6 months/one year to iron out the new problems with updates and bug fixes.
SE has taken a different approach and I believe this may be its best year financially in 4/5 years. SE is using existing proven hardware, which needs little fixes. SE have also beautiful new designs. And as you know, most people buy phones for looks and feel. This seems like a winning combination to me. And also the new Experia play.
Hi. I just had the opportunity to check the camera, incredible photos and HC video. Amazing. Go for this phone everyone.

World's 1st bendable oled(parent of amoled) screen was displayed by Sony(check wikipedia).
And Sony is one who developed World's 1st organic batteries(check out Sony Global website sony.net).
On Sony's Global website every month u will find 2-3 new technologies mentioned as developed by Sony. They still develop great new things but the problem is that they sideline their own technologies rather than promoting them or using them broadly.
Anonymous, 08 Apr 2011That is the noticeable benefit of dual-core, it makes single-core devices more affordable. Yes! keep the competition healthy, the sooner I'll be able to buy this beauty.:)

abhi, 08 Apr 2011Samsung's BADA is a huge copy of android and iOS & still sucks. While reviewing Bada phone... moreAndroid copied Ios OS. For obvious reasons. Bada is like a mini version of Android and is not designed to be better than Android, as its not. But Bada is 100% stable with no lag or freezing and with great battery life. I personally don’t like Android as its google spyware and spamware annoy me, plus Android has terrible battery life. Bada suits me for its simplicity, but nice simple interface, with great battery life, but again, not as good or as flashy as Android. This is my choice and opinion only. These interfaces are the design of future Symbian also. So, it seems they all copied Apple. But my point is, Bada is Samsung’s propriety software, designed wholly for its products. You must know of all the Android problems with Samsung, SE etc and the necessary changes.
SE X10 does NOT have a camera flash, it has a camera light ONLY.
Samsung was the first with 8 and 12mp camera phones. Also the first with HD recording mobile phone. First to use Amoled screen technology. (not the inventor)
Samsung invented water powered cell phones Source: http://www.greenoptimistic.com/2008/04/17/water-powered-cell-phones-by-2010/
Samsung is the inventor of flexible Amoled screens Source: http://newinventions.patsnap.com/samsung-flexible-am-oled-screen.html
Samsung is the inventor of see through LCD Television Source : http://www.infoniac.com/hi-tech/latest-invention-solar-powered-see-through-lcd-tv-from-samsung.html
Enough of this rubbish of who invented what etc. Yes, Samsung utilizes existing technologies and modifys and improves it, such as Oled. Sony has not invented much new technology wise also in the last 20 years, just utilizes it and improves it.
Everybody knows Sony is a great company and dominated the world of technology for almost 30 years. But we have really gone of the subject, wern’t we talking about mobile phones.

Making a LCD TV commercially available and making 1st LCD tv r two diff. things.
Morover, that guy said that Sony made World's 1st oled tv, not developed.
This gorgeous phone retails for PhP 26,500 ($612) here in PH, much cheaper than the PHP 32,000 ($740) price tag of the X10 when it debuted a year ago.
[deleted post]1st diskette made by IBM sorry not sony, even the 3.5 disk
Nokia 7650 was the worlds 1st camera phone
TVs came from USA, No way not Sony, the world 1st square type standard TV was build by Motorola, later Motorola sold the TV division, Today its panasonic
Korea China copy cats? do not bash nations please, be polite, just give reasonable facts to win,
Sony made OLED TV, but who made OLED?
They copy from Europe an USA
get some facts and talk,
[deleted post]Hey Dude, you’re arguing with the wrong person. I never wrote anything about who is first etc.
But if you want to argue with me, you need your facts rights. And I couldn’t really care less who was first as all companies copy each other.
But, for your info, the first commercial camera phone was “The first commercial camera phone complete with infrastructure was the J-SH04, made by Sharp Corporation, had an integrated CCD and marketed from 2001 by J-Phone in Japan” Source : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camera_phone
“The earliest commercially made LCD TV was the Casio TV-10 made in 1983” Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LCD_television
Inventor of Oled is Eastman Kodak. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organic_light-emitting_diode
As you can easily see so far, your so called facts are wrong. I personally find technology history interesting. If you want to argue about Sony, why not say some real great technology breakthroughs, like first Walkman, first mini disc etc. As you can see, I like facts and couldn’t care less which mobile phone is better or who invented what first. Samsung, Sony etc all copy each other’s technology and modify and improve it.

[deleted post]Let me add many more things developed by Sony ->
WEGA technology TV,
Trinitron technology TV,
BluRay Disc technology,
First Oled TV,
Publically showcased World's 1st bendable oled screens,
World's 1st translucent mirror cameras,
World's 1st interchangeable lens camera,
Hybrid wires for mobile phones,
Exmor R sensors(backlit CMOS sensors)
I know that here we r talking abt SE but SE = "Sony" Ericsson.
And i'll add more things later on.........
man, i don't know why u ppl r trying to rank this phone up or feel sorry sony ericsson. I tend to like sony ericsson, they used to make great and powerful and innovative phones in the past, and xperia X10 has like the MOST beutifull UI, but lately sony ericsson is really loosing it especially in smartphones. They don't make or have powerfull ties like HTC with qualcomm for cpu (hence no dual-core), they don't really invest any money on screens (sure this screen is said to be using bravia engine, but in reality all this is LCD on steroids with led backlight with lots of software tricks onboard, but not oled or retina), nice design but not very durable (least prototype wasn't), no real internal mem or lot of ram for future updates, cam engine nice but no real breakthrough like Nokia either, sound improved but no surround - they certainly don't copy Apple (a good thing), but they also don't seem to compete with other companies at all, but only with themselves...
It's almost as if ericsson is the exact OPPOSITE of SONY, ex: SE Play vs Sony NGP
[deleted post]Samsung's BADA is a huge copy of android and iOS & still sucks. While reviewing Bada phones Gsmarena said that android users won't have any problem using it bcoz it resembles android very much.
Oled(parent technology of super amoled/plus) was developed by Kodak.
X10 has camera flash. Open up ur eyes & check it out.
What samsung has of it's own ?
They too take android from google, processor & GPU from Arm and imagination technologies, designs from apple and many more things. Samsung hasn't developed anything till now.
They just utilize existing technologies.
[deleted post]I'm enjoying SE forum. But it's sammy fanboys who disturb this forum.
Nobody asked them to comment here and protect their samsung by their fanboyism. It's always samsung fanboys who start all this bashing. One can easily figure out that SE users on this forum r quite happy discussing abt SE only but when samsung fans try to ruin the pleasant atmosphere here than SE fans don't have any other choice rather than bash samsung too.
Just Bought my SE X Arc.. And when I showed it to my same officemate who just bought a Galaxy Tab, the more she got disappointed with her new gadget.. She said that aside from brightness and clarity, the Arc is snappier..
Way to go SE..
Recd mine a couple of days back. So far, i am more than happy. It is a great phone and everone seems very impressed with it. Only issue is i find photographs taken indoors with normal lighting( with or without flash) are not that great. While in outdoors and with bright lights you get fabulous photos, the same quality is not matched indoors. In fact the old Sony Ericsson C905 takes photo graphs inside. Anyone has an idea? Also, screen visibilty in outdoors is not very good
