You have burn-in on your phone, blue pixels age faster than the rest, there's no way around it. You just don't want to see it because you're a typical Samsung fanboy.
AMOLED technology is not suited for mobile phones. The pentile matrix of the Super AMOLED was meant to reduce the effects of blue pixel aging, with the new Super AMOLED plus without the pentile matrix, burn-in will happen even faster.
I bought my Arc last week, so far no issues detected. Only minor setback is that I can't find the AZERTY keyboard when the language is set to Dutch. And there should be one as AZERTY is the standard for the Netherlands/Belgium... Battery seems to hold on for 2/3 days depending on the usage. And the screen is quite nice to be honest.
Great phone and for me is the best phone in the market until SGS2 hits the stores. I can't wait until I have it.
It would help if everyone understood targeting. This phone, just like every other phone, is targeted at a certain individual thus will NOT have features to please everyone. I'm not into gaming or any other demanding hobby that would require massive specs on a phone. I WILL buy this for its looks, the fact that I can make and receive calls/smses/blah blah, and all the other simple stuff I need on a phone. I'm buying it to show off not to hack into the Pentagon. I'm buying it cos I know I will have to buy another one next year with better specs and more appealing at the time. A phone IS NOT an investment. I've always used Nokia and this will be my first non-nokia-phone and I like it!
classic sony ericsson owners, hyping up minor problems. I have had my SGS for about 8 months now and I have no burn in. Ill let you know when it becomes obvious.
i just dont understand why you lot throw your money at phones which are always 1 step behind the competition? the screen isnt as good and the phone has a weak GPU.
Some people just don't like oversaturated colors and burn-in after a few months.
galaxy s2 is better, course Arc only hd video, only one processor and colour not bright as samsung super amoled plus
how any of you can actually think this screen is better than the samsung super amoled ones is beyond me.
I have a samsung SGS and I also have numerous phones with LCD screens, such as the HD2.
there is a massive difference
I will never buy a phone which is this expensive and without a front facing camera for video calling. Sony sucks.
Will anyone let me know, How is the Battery Life of this Phone because I have X10i and I am tired of Charging.
Hey guys I just bought this phone and I must say that this phone is one of the best man...Battery life can last me 1.5 days with heavy usage(internet 2 hrs, facebook refresh every 30 mins, email, camera, call, sms, music for 1.5 hrs(Excellent music quality in earphones)
arc is the best now a days :) i love this xperia so much ... its awesome !
I said , I tested this phone, it might have a better camera and a display theoretically , but it is not notable, thats what I say,it is as usual as regular display and a camera. bravia or x-mor has not done a big differences,
X10 people say 65K colors on X10 is not notable,
65K - 16 is a huge differences,
So another logic applies here at ARC for,a slight differences of X-mor and reality display has become very huge for SE fans, for X10 its another theory funny way to get out of the real points.
[deleted post]There are six guys were looking at a same picture. Five guys then agreed with each others that it was a beautiful picture. And the sixth guy said he never seen a picture that worse than this. Who's you're gonna believe?
hi all, m using arc for few days now and dont regret it buying...in way of pricing, performance and comfort...only one thing is there it doesnt hv a great battery life so i m keeping one extra...
but thats all right...everything comes as a package of pros and cons
