Yeah going to get my xperia arc on the 4th of april...Yeah cant wait to get it and after I get it..The next day I will post my review
I find it somewhat strange that all three new Experia phones are the three highest rated on GSMArena (by quite a margin).
Don't get me wrong, they have good specs, but no dual-core, only 7.2Mbps HSDPA and very few people actually having used one makes me think that the voting is somewhat skewed.
AnonD-5117, 01 Apr 2011can anyone tell me , XPERIA arc has bad sound quality too , as we all are well knowne... moreNobody knows abt the poor sound quality of X10 bcoz actually the sound quality of X10 was awesome. X10 suffered from low sound loudness which has been resolved in Xperia Arc. Loudness levels in Arc r great.
can anyone tell me , XPERIA arc has bad sound quality too , as we all are well knowned abt the poor sound quality of XPERIA X10...!!!!!!!???????

abhi, 31 Mar 2011Yup... expecting a dual core. Now they r the only one left without dual core.Yes, they are the only one without a Dual Core phone, but I am sure that they are already working on a great Dual Core smart phone! :) By the way SE had the problem with CPU speed, that all of their phones had a LOW CPU, and it seems that they are behind again. I hope that I am wrong and they will NOT make the same mistake as before.
AnonD-1544, 01 Apr 2011 It's not something strange that Sony products gets the best ranking! In fact, this is the pl... moreWho is back... :) You are the real SE 2010??? If you are the real one, than welcome back to the SE forum!
Hey, let me recommend you on a good phone.
Xperia Mini Pro
You get a 600mhz Adreno 200 GPU, thats pumping 1.5 times faster than the N8.
and you get widgets........ haha
alright, I'll stop the sarcasm.
But seriously, what phone did you have before the N8. Why you so directly jumping on SE? Have you ever used a Galaxy S before?
From experience, I sold my I9000 in 3 weeks due to lags, brightness adjusting by itself problem, hang up lag, blank screen etc.... and problems with the LG KU500 before that with battery frying problems.... so from experience, their quality cannot be matched.
[deleted post]oh man, I can't stop laughing. I got to apologize for laughing.... My bad man. I'm an Arc owner for about a week now since the 27th. Its not bad and actually pretty smooth. A lot smoother than the Hummingbird engine in the I9000 and the Nexus S.
My pre-order from Starhub Singapore responded today. Paying $111 for existing line extension (2 years) and current plan is Smartsurf 700. And I got the Mont Blanc pouch for the SE Arc for bring the 1st 100 user to sign up for the pre-order. Woohoo!
[deleted post]there's no front camera.. to me front camera is not important to me..
[deleted post]Not to say that you're wrong, but have you ever been to Japan? If not, I would suggest buying an airplane ticket and actually flying over there to check out the technology that Japan's using despite the recent factors with the tsunami disaster etc. Have you also ever heard of quality assurance? What do you know about SE checking out their product qualities before shipping them out from the Beijing plant? In other words, what kind of cellphone price does not drop after half a year or so other than that Samsung I9000? Do you even know why the price remained high even up to today?
I agree that having that hummingbird engine did indeed boost Samsung's reputation up, but how often do you check and compare cellphone forums? In comparison with the problems with the I9000 vs X10 previously and even up to today. Not to mention the quality on korean products ex: LG/Samsung. Go scan some QR codes.
And to talk about financial problems, have you ever heard of HTC? Do you know how much Wang Shue Hong invested and started HTC in Taiwan? I highly doubt that the investment exceeds Sony and even Sony Ericsson combined. And do not go and accuse others of actually not having an ARC when you probably do not even have one yourself?
