Mobilemaster, 21 Mar 2011You don't need Dual Core CPU to have Full HD, I am 100% sure about this. Then post proof here that single core CPU can encode full hd 1080p :)
[deleted post]720p is enough for many people. My phone has HD as well, and it can take awesome videos. We are NOT in Japan to have Full HD phones. The Gingerbread can support Full HD, this is what I believe.
And nope Galaxy S does not have full hd video recording but the hummingbird processor is powerful enough to decode 1080p. In the Galaxy TAB 1080p videos play smoothly. And samsung mentions full hd 1080p support in the specifications as well of the hummingbird cpu.
P.S. I am not a samsung fanboy, Infact I might be getting an Arc :)
But guys please dont be childish and expect impossible things from Arc.
AnonD-2381, 21 Mar 2011If u think samsung's single core hummingbird is capable of encoding 1080p i am damn sure that ... moreGosh!!!!!
Being a fanboy doesn't mean you ignore facts.
Check the specifications for MSM 8255 snadragon here where the MANUFACTURER of the Arc processor mentions that this processor supports only 720p video.
Scroll down to specs of MSM 8x55 range
Why isn't there any front facing camera when many people do use it ?
AnonD-4205, 20 Mar 2011To all those people expecting full hd recording with the Arc, please understand that full hd r... moreIf u think samsung's single core hummingbird is capable of encoding 1080p i am damn sure that arc will do 1080p in more ease than galaxy s or waveII which is equipped with hummingbird.Just see the benchmark results of Arc's MSM8255 and Galaxy s's humming bird. ARC is far superior than in its benchmark scoring 1583 which is nearly double of galaxy s see below for the benchmark.
if 600 mhz of n8 is capable of doing 720p in ease means what is there to wonder if arc does 1080p.I dont mean to say that arc will surely come with 1080p atleast with 24fps but i am so sure that it is capable of encoding 1080p if Galaxy s can.
@PhoeniXperiArc,Mobilemaster:What you friends think about that will we have 1080p in Arc ?
AnonD-3272, 20 Mar 2011@Alwin: yes, i know that, just didnt want to tell straight that he's wrong, but again, your co... moreI am happy that this has Intelligent zoom, but I hope that in the near future they will make phones with optical zoom. Nokia has optical zoom phones, and they will announce one next year as well, with 4x...!! SE should make their first...faster.
By the way I didn't know that he was Sun!
@Alwin: yes, i know that, just didnt want to tell straight that he's wrong, but again, your comment was so useful, thank you :) @Mobilemaste: yeah something like optical zoom but in smart zoom you cant use full resolution as alwin said :) and stefan=sun. @rude people: you are not welcome here at all.
Stefan, 20 Mar 2011Why are you posting soo much here when you admited that if you had to choose between arc and G... moreI am FAIR! This is the cause that I said that. I saw the video, and in my opinion the Arc is almost the same, in some places can take better videos than the N8. I NEVER mentioned the Galaxy S2 here. If you ask me, I like that phone as well, because of it's mass memory and screen! :) I am NOT only a SE fan.
Mobilemaster, 20 Mar 2011Both can take awesome videos! In some points the Arc is better. Why are you posting soo much here when you admited that if you had to choose between arc and G2 you would choose G2! Besides that you are using a Omnia HD that you said you were very satisfied? So you say Samsung produces better handsets but you post here more than in the forum of the phone that you say is better???????
why internal memory only 300>>MB...
too little and caused that cannot download too much :-(
AnonD-3272, 20 Mar 2011Alwin didnt say anything about the meaning of " 2.46x " ;)2.46 x means u will be able to see the object upto 2.46 times bigger by zooming and at the same time u won't losing the quality of it. It will be like taking snap by standing 2.46 times closer to it but it will be losing its resolution a bit.
