how to update xperia arc to 2.3.4 in U.K.somebody help me...
Having used the Xperia Arc for many months now, i've found it to be a very intuitive phone. The recent software updates through the Sony Ericsson PC Companion software (support centre if anyone is looking for how to update their phones) has integrated facebook into the phone without it being annoying. The nice little features of being able to "like" the song you're listening to on your phone or the app your playing straight to facebook, or the notifications on the lock screen just make life easier.
Having the bravia engine and the exmor r sensor makes taking pictures a joy, fireworks in the low light , no problem, and having the bright colours jump out at you thanks to the bravia engine are just fantastic worth the extra second it takes to load the pictures. One of the best camera phones around and now they are bringing out one with a faster processor, things can only get better.

Moving from my Xperia mini to my Xperia Arc, i have now come to find Xperia is the future, my Arc is the best phone i have ever had, its the only touch screen i have ever got on with, its so responsive. I love the Camera and its Exmor R sensor... I can now take pictures anywhere and everywhere i want without having to worry about lighting conditions :oD Also as i am addicted to facebook, with the new software i love the way i can connect and share everything with my friend with a click of a button, music, status, images, videos anything, i have complete freedom. My Arc is now one of my essentials i make sure i have in my handbag before i leave my house, I will always recommend any Xperia.

Yesterday I got the 2.3.4 update for the Portuguese TMN version, it seems a consistent upgrade.
Not many new and innovator besides the camera but in general the graphics are nicer, all thing seems to operate smoothly and faster although almost all the ram is used by the new apps.
I was able to delete the bloat ware from the carrier which is nice.
Battery seems a bit better.
Any opinions on the new update?

Ajmal Basheer, 03 Nov 2011Ustu,
In that forum it says to make sure we have installed adb drivers for our device. What... moreadb means asian development bank!......ha ha ha,just kidding man, never mind.
Actually adb means android debug bridge,it's a part of the android sdk, which is to be installed in ur pc,& this is used by the developers.i think it's kind of android emulator, not have much idea though.u can download it from net,but u have to google for this.
.42 firmware means the stock firmware of ur arc,u can find it in settings~about phone~build number.in sw version 2.3,it was 4.0.2.A.0.42,in 2.3.3,it was 4.0.A.2.368,in 2.3.4.it should be 4.0.1.A.0.283 or something like that.
Is it clear enough now?
Ajmal Basheer, 03 Nov 2011Haha... Ustu, in that case why don't you try and tell us how it turns out... LOL!!!
Anyways... moreoh, hell yeah buddy,i'll definitely root my phone when i've the proper knowledge, confidence & resources(u know,i don't have any pc right now).btw,if u want to know anything more about rooting,u can go to x10 forum in this site & ask X10sive user & roar.both of them have rooted their set & they r really helpful.
Well, with all due respect to ur neighbour,i think he is not using cyanogenmod 7.1's full functionality.i'm giving u a list of cmod 7.1's changelog, but u really need to show some patience,it's huge!
