Having had the Xperia Arc S for almost two months now I am falling more and more in love with it. Despite having had many other phones in the past including the iPhone 4, this is by far my favourite. There are so many ways to personalise it, and so many cool features it has, for example when on the music player, the background colour changes to match the album art.
I feel Sony Ericsson have really pulled it out of the bag with the Arc S. With an exceptional camera that has won many awards and screen technology that is second to none and even more processing power than its predecessor why would you not want one? The exmor R feature on the camera is truly brilliant, it takes miles better photos in low light than even my fancy digital camera, and the clarity is astounding. When on holiday at the beach in cornwall i found it was taking better photos than any of my friends phones or indeed my digital camera.
As for the design, well it's sleek and slim, and classy looking, what's not to like? Being on the latest version of android too, (that is gingerbread 2.3.4 and soon to be updated to icecreamsandwich) I find the battery life lasts me 1.5-2 days which is pretty decent for todays smartphones, especially as I regularly listen to music on it as i travel to work. Speaking of which, coming with an 8GB memory card in the box is a big win for me! Android is by far the lead operating system and with so many ways to personalise this phone its so easy to make it your own. My phone is my everything, my contact, my music player, my camera. This phone does it all.
Go on, get your hands on an Xperia Arc S. You won't regret it :-)
AnonD-30548, 28 Nov 2011Still sony ericsson lags ! It doesnt come with super Amoled screen...it doesnt need super amoled. Gsmarena reviewers say its better than super amoled. Sony has bravia tag name so why they need 2 beg.
This is gonna be my next phone if ARC HD isn't gonna be for sale until Christmas
Can someone help me,I am thinking between Htc rhyme and Sony ericsson arc s,which mobile phone should I buy?
The Sony Ericsson Arc S is a very smart phone. With the 1.4GHz turbo processor everything is faster. With the use of the Mobile Bravia Engine the video is more crisp and clear, whether you are indoors or out. Can’t forget about the camera on the Arc S, with the Exmor R technology your pictures will always been perfect whether its daylight or not. One of key features why the Arc S has been so popular is Android. It is the fastest growing mobile operating system. Download any application you want from Android market and customize your arc S to make it exclusively yours. That is why I would recommend this phone to everyone and anyone.

Steve CHOPS!, 27 Nov 2011JAEZUZ!dont know which to choose between galaxy nexus, nokia n9, this, lg optimus 2x, htc tita... morePersonal Opinion, forget about HTC, skip Lumia & N9
Choose between this & Samsung, I would much prefer the SE for the build quality & good price tag, you can get it now for 420$, Regards
Ola&Olu, 27 Nov 2011I am Using Xperia Arc S, am having problem with my Gallery, each time i open it, it does load ... morecommon problem for the current xperia lineup. try to add a few new photos to the gallery, or delete some old, then the bug hopefully leave u alone for a while.
And its not only xperia, gallery is a weak point of lotsa android devices.
Steve CHOPS!, 27 Nov 2011JAEZUZ!dont know which to choose between galaxy nexus, nokia n9, this, lg optimus 2x, htc tita... moreLoL so many options =) Forget the Lumia, and also forget the Optimus 2x (not coz its so bad, it has an excellent display, way better than Arc S, but software wise and for battery life its kinda poor, not reliable)
Then forget HTC, coz the HTC Sense is laggy, and in general HTCs have too many software bugs.
And Forget Arc S if you want a good display. If display is very important for you then reconsider Optimus 2x, and you may even be willing to live with HTCs bad Sense so you can get a SLCD display.
I think galaxy nexus has "same old" samsung AMOLED? Not good enough. Same as SGS2, its not an option if you want good display, it has a blue tint to everything white, and navy blue will look like black. call it "yet another defective AMOLED", same as SGS.
Nokia N9 may be the closest thing to an overall good cellfone, but its pretty special in that its creator has abandonned the OS development project and hardware wise its not top of the line, doesnt feel complete.
There is no perfect cellfone out there right now, last "close to perfect" device this world saw was Nokia N900, now much to old and slow to be competitive.
