Elo sirs I have this phone, the vendor told me that it is among the newer batch of this model, been stress testing it since feb no problems so far despite "gauge battery widget" indicating the phone is already operating at around 42deg celsius. Phone feels really hot and yet no problems so far. I would post the version of this but it is under the battery and I am using the xperia mini as I post this so at the moment I can't.
One minor problem that I have is that it seems mine have a very short battery life, I charged the battery to full on 12 midnight as I wake up in d morning at about 8am and no misscalls whatsoever, the battery has drained down to 80 percent thats with wifi turned off, network set to gsm only, gps turned off and as I check the battery usage under the settings the battery is drained by the display. 60 percent and network usage at almost 30 percent...is this normal? My running apps are battery widget and avast mobile security and notuing more it seems I also have data traffic disabled so it only onirms my gps is turned off o_O do I have a faulty battery or is this normal? Coming from x10 battery was wayyyy better, and used a eave s8500 hattery was wayyy beter tuans x10 and xperia mini comind

DO NOT buy it
I repeat DO NOT buy it
It might be cheap for it's specifications, don't be deceived you will regret buying it.
OK why would i say that ?!!!
1- After a while(DAYS OR WEEKS) your hands will get used to it and you will start to use it more often for apps and games and stuff,
that's when it gets hot and starts to vibrate on it's own and the touch screen will not work
2- you will need to restart it every half an hour.
3- after that this problem will happen more often and you wont be able to make even one phone call.
4- when this problem happens: if you turned the device off then on right away the problem wont stop.
So you need to turn it off for like an hour or more.
5-after all this suffering and finally the buzz wont stop it will just be less .
6- it's not only one case, it's all over the world :

AnonD-443, 05 Apr 2012Very interesting and significant article !! Thanks for the post. Like somebody commented there... moreHai friend
I have tried ics beta rom in my xperia mini, eventhough it was having some bugs still its fast like gingerbread.i think ics is compatable with xp2011 lineup
Going ginger bread to ics is difficult thats a true fact
AnonD-443, 05 Apr 2012Very interesting and significant article !! Thanks for the post. Like somebody commented there... moreWhat about neo L, with the specs similar to Xperia 2011, Sony announced it as their first ICS running smartphone. Why then they told us it's so difficult upgrading GB to ICS because of insufficient hardware.
java emulator is big lie there is no such emulator for android 2.3 gingerbread
AnonD-10697, 31 Mar 2012Guys if anyone want to buy it , because it can upgrade to ICS (4.0) Read this and think again ... moreVery interesting and significant article !! Thanks for the post. Like somebody commented there, this is the consequence of "spitting promises without analysis"! SE planned and assured ICS upgrade for 2011-xperia phones, and now when it really came to the matter, they find it not as easy as it was thought and they can't withdraw their promise. If the article speaks truth, then ICS better suits for phones like the Nexus with dual core processor and 1GB ram and the xperia phones may under-perform. The author stresses on the point that whether to go to ICS for its improvements or to stay with the STABLE GINGERBREAD...?
Well if this is the situation, I prefer to stay with gingerbread as my phone is very stable after the last update and a breeze to operate.. everything well-settled with almost 125 downloaded apps running in my phone.. why should I disturb my mini for some feature improvements..? Afterall, it is not yet clear and specific what are the improvements in of Sony-ICS UI. If it is not a big deal, then I would be much satisfied with my mini and gingerbread. Also some of the apps which I use still struggling to comply with ICS update. Anyhow some commentors have already announced that they will give a try whatsoever
