And it is the one feature that stands outstanding along with the fast processor and smart UI. According to the opinions, battery of LWW also is not sufficient. But the front camera and video call is a bonus you get in LWW.

Though the only points I find favourable for the LWW are its larger screen, lesser thickness and better talktime and standby time.. I know the LWW doesn't have a bravia engine.. So its just that the screen legibility might not be good enough in sunlight as compared to the mini.. That's something that's keeping me wondering..
How is the battery backup of SE xperia Mini??I think this is only mobile with 1200mAh battery under this range....Is it worth??
ABOUT THE 4.0.2.A. 0.42 UPDATE (sorry if I mistyped)
I've been withholding the 2.3.4 update, seeing warnings that the touch screen issues(later fixed by calibration) start after that update. But the continuous restarting problem turned to a level that I was forced to try the update. Due to the bug reports, I decided to choose update using pc companion, and avoid OTA update, since the former replaces the entire firmware version in the ROM. I backed up apps using Android task manager, though losing a few application data.
After the update, these are the changes which I could notice yet;
1. The restarting bug is now a rare event. And a manual restart can fix it for the time.
2. There is a clear increase in battery life(though the battery is still incapable for smart phone use)
3. Phone heats up more than before. on a hot day, the battery temperature goes in the 46-47 range if I work for a little while. But no other issues are caused by heating.
4. The display turn off animation - the old CRT monitor type- is lost after the update
5. the 3d panorama type camera, it requires some practice to capture.
6. some minor improvements in the UI, like memory card apps can now goes to the corner shortcuts (new? )
I don't have any touch screen issues yet like back button problem whatsoever. So , to those who says the bugs started after the update, could it be the difference between pc flashing and FOTA update?
It is two weeks after the update now, I shall wait and see.
[deleted post]My headset has a L shaped pin, so I haven't felt much problems with that. And I don't mind keeping it upside down in my shirts pocket while listening to music. Since the port is at bottom, it is more 'rain-safe'. In fact, there is nothing wrong with the Mini except for the bug reports. I had the constant restarting issue but now it seldom occurs after the update. There are no touch screen issues yet. I haven't used the live with Walkman. The main comparison points may be the display, music and size/weight and the missing front camera in the mini. Qwerty users may get a slightly bigger screen to type. But the display wont be as clear and splendid as the mini's. (See the difference in pixel density and the absence of bravia engine in live W W) There may be more walkman features and the Mega bass etc. The music in the mini is good too. Many music players are available in the market. For more bass, there are players like power amp in the market.
Keep asking and decide whether the handset suits you, before you buy. You'll get one or another reply here.
AnonD-37620, 12 Jan 2012thanks mate.. I'll be buying it pretty soonhey need one more info here.. I just noticed that the micro USB port and 3.5mm jack are at the bottom.. So is there any problem of headphone or USB cable tangling up or breaking loose? I hope the cable or headphone wire doesn't get broken with bending and all..
And how would you compare this phone with the Live with Walkman?
Can v make video call on Sony Ericsson xperia mini. If yes how can v use
I also had a problem, when I thought touch screen becomes sensitive on heating. But on check up they said its software corruption. Those who have such problem, try visiting a SE service centre.
I want to know how the loud speakers work. Is it louder? coz i like to hear loud music instead of using headphones. so pl tell me about the loud speakers.i am a music lover. Thanks
